If he goes into rehab for weed then he's not nearly as strong as I thought he was.
Not for smoking the stick icky.
Not for the occasional toke here and there. But like someone already mentioned, to make sure he didn't lose millions in endorsements. And it's not like he can't afford one of those beach resort rehab facilities I see on Intervention every now and then.
Yeah I believe Mr Phelps has a bit of a drinking and driving problem as well.....
I just read that Kelloggs won't renew his contract. I feel bad for the kid. He just needs to be more careful in the future. But that DWI was alot more damning for the simple fact you aren't the only one who is at risk when you are behind the wheel.
Actually Whottt made a of a point in the other thread when he said Phelps could really send a big FU to the US in 2012 if he chooses not to swim at all. That right there would be 5-6 guaranteed golds down the drain for the United States.

Anyone that has to work as hard as he does, and whose country takes partial credit ("look at all our American golds!" really? i only know of one American who did anything for those golds) deserves something to ease his mind off things when he has the chance. The kid literally eats whatever he wants because of the ungodly amount of energy it takes to do what he does (because he HAS to, not because he can). It's a shame there wasn't a chick sucking his balls while he hit that bong. Someone needs to hurry up and tell a to get on that.

Weed is not bad, at all. Like, not at all. Does nothing to you. Probably causes 1/1000th of the total amount of smoking issues despite its wide spread nature. Its fragrant and delicious when consumed. Overall, only the idiots out there think its a bad thing.

I got no problem with what he did. I remember when I was 23.
I thought Kelloggs was the most appropriate one to keep him, as well!!
I've never smoked weed and even I don't think it's that big a deal. If he was doing lines of blow off a some dude's ... then that'd be pretty messed up... but as it is I have no problem with this guy, who has probably spent about 30% of the the last decade of his life in a pool working hard to be the best, going out and blowing off a little steam in a private setting.
If you're going swimming don't forget to bring a towel!
