Bucks to show true colors on draft night

The Milwaukee Bucks are planning a new logo, a new color scheme and, come September, a new uniform in time for next season, the franchise announced Thursday.
The team will unveil the new logo and the new color scheme June 28, the night of the National Basketball Association draft. The new uniform, a team official said, will be unveiled in September.
In professional sports, franchises often change logos and color schemes in order to generate interest and excitement.
One Internet site ran photos of the new look, which a team official would neither confirm nor deny. On the site, the dominant color is red, not purple.

Interesting... They just changed it what less than 10yrs ago? The current logo is nice. I wonder if the new color scheme means they're dumping the purple & green or changing the primary/secondary colors. Hasn't purple/green been w/ the franchise since it's inception?
Must be looking at a new way to generate $$, as most teams do.
They're going back to the original forest green and red.
The adoption of purple was a lamentable artifact of the purple-and-teal-obsessed early 1990's.
