Every team has strengths and weaknesses...and tendencies. The Sacramento Kings have them but what are they and how should the Spurs deal with them?
I'll start with Mike Bibby. Did you know that Mike shoots almost 17 FG attempts/game and over 1/3 of Mike's FG attempts are from behind the arc (36%)? Mike has averaged 25% of his FGA from 3-pt. land over his career. This year he has dramatically increased it to 6 trey attempts per game.
The Spurs will have to figure out a way to defend the high post and high screen/roll look the Kings run. How so?

Rasho stopping Bonzi under the basket, Bowen stopping Artest and with Parker on Bibby, Manu and Timmy can look at this situation with more ease. We would need mostly to pick up all those rebounds.
Crack some skulls. In a 7 game series, a team that doesn't get to the rim with any regularity will be hard pressed to win. With Sacto, you cut off the penetration. If Bibby scores 25 a night and everyone else is shut out, that's all you need. The Spurs did a similiar thing with Nash last year.
I think you can start by hedging the pick and roll with the big, denying Bibby penetration, and allowing him to make his way from behind the arc. If he makes those shots, I think the next solution is to blitz the pick and roll with hard traps and switch aggressively behind the play to limit the mismatches.
However they deal with pick and roll, it is imperative that the Spurs centers rotate to the rim to challenge any penetration that the Kings guards get.
At the same time, the offensive rebounding the Kings can get from their wings and from Thomas are problematic. It seemed to me that one major problem the Spurs had in early April was that rotations left few bodies to box-out the Kings good rebounders, which allowed the Kings a good number of offensive rebounds (11) and second chance opportunities. I think, in a way, that dealing with Kenny Thomas has to be a priority here. If Thomas is allowed to go for double-doubles every night, the Spurs will be giving up too many offensive boards and allowing SAC to make up for some of their disadvantages in the paint.

I am pretty sure teams will play us very physically, and get very rough. I just hope someone takes over Kevin Willis' at ude and punishes people that drive on us. It seems to me that one of our weaknesses this year was letting people get to the basket repeatedly, I'm not saying commit flagrants, but we need to knock some people on their asses if they keep on disrespecting our paint and Big Men. You know it will happen to our guys 10x more than we dish it out.
Simple. Play Rasho. He is the most committed on this team to stepping out and forcing Bibby wide. Nazr still has absolutely no clue how to guard a pick and roll. It has become humorous watching him completely lose sight of the play and run around waving his arms trying to figure out where his man went. If Nazr just stands under the basket hoping for misses and rebounds, we are in trouble.

Nazr doesn't understand the concept of "own", never mind actually doing it.
Other concepts that escape Nazr:
rotating,
help defense,
blocking out for drivers/slashers (Rasho's forte),
don't take the ball down low/keep it high,
don't spectate the shot/but do crash the boards,
find somebody/anybody! to block out,
alter an opponent's shot,
get your ing arms up!,
and most other big man fundamentals.

Both Kenny Thomas and Brad Miller step out on the perimeter allowing Bonzi Wells and Ron Artest to post up smaller players which Bowen and Ginobili can't handle them. Bibby will shoot some 3's as well. The kings give some of the same matchup problems as the suns except the Kings are not as small as the suns and are more physical.

yup i also think kenny can take duncan off the dribble. hes to quick for duncan. i know duncan is bigger and stronger but kenny is much quicker.

It's more Miller and Rahim that create that problem, in my estimation. Thomas is a good clean-up man, in that he'll get offensive boards and can be efficient around the basket on second-chance opportunities. He has some range, but I don't think he'll draw defenders out beyond 12 feet or so, unless he gets ridiculously hot. I think the Spurs have to find a means to deal with the post-ups, but I'd be okay with the post-ups if it meant that Bibby isn't doing the screen-and-roll thing at the top. I think that if the post-ups are effective, the Spurs will bring at least soft doubles to try to force kick outs. To the extent that there are matchup problems, I think the most damaging effect will be the backdoor lanes that the Spurs scrambling defense will have to account for -- the Kings version of the Princeton offense lives and breathes with the pick and roll and the backdoor cuts that arise from discombobulated defenses.
Princeton Offense with 2 big man that step out take away the spurs twin towers on defense and force them away from the basket which will open the lanes like you said. Also Artest will put some fear in Ginobili in attacking the rim since Artest is much stronger. Duncan will determine this series. If he is right he should be able to score on the kings at will.
