The usual two stations in Dallas are not showing the game tonight...I guess due to the Series. If you want pictures, I'm going, though my seats are ty.

Are you sure that's on Directv? All I see is MLB Baseball on a channel 88. But it doesn't show anything. I think it's for digital subscribers.

Here's the info from a HDNET guy:

tonite's NBA game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks will be shown in HD ONLY (no low definition broadcast)

tonite's game will be on channel 97 on Directv, im waiting on info for other distributors

    here is more info-

Up to 27 Dallas Mavericks Games to be Broadcast on HDNet
HDNet is offering high definition coverage of select Dallas Mavericks games in the Mavericks TV territory. You should have access to these games if:

you live within the local broadcast television territory for the Dallas Mavericks (most of Texas outside of Spurs and Rockets TV territory), and
you are signed up to receive HDNet from DIRECTV, DISH, or from one of the following cable providers:

    Cebridge Communications
    Charter Communications
    OneSource Communications
    Time Warner Cable
and if the first three digits of your zip code match the digits on this list:
    750, 751, 752, 753, 754, 755, 756, 757, 760, 761, 762, 763, 764, 765, 766, 767, 768, 769, 783, 784, 785, 790, 791, 792, 793, 794, 795, 796, 797, 798, 799

If your cable or satellite provider is not included in this list, please contact them directly to request that they add HDNet and HDNet Movies.

Since these games are not part of our national HDNet programming, they will be provided via a special feed and may be aired by your service provider on a different channel than HDNet. Please check your on-screen guide for details.

Please feel free to email [email protected] with any questions.

Remember, the Mavs' high def schedule is subject to change.

So he's saying the game will only be shown to those in Texas and NOT in the Houston or San Antonio viewing area. ALTHOUGH, there's a blurb about the game being a freeview on DirectV's website, but it does say subject to blackout.

If I had to guess, I would say the game will be blacked out to SA DirecTV viewers. But it's worth taking a peek to make sure.

There should be quite a few Spurs games in HD here in San Antonio this year. They are shown by FoxSportsNet HD and are on channel 150 for TWC HD subscribers. Seems like they had about 6 or 8 games on last year. Maybe more, I don't remember for sure.

Remember that Cuban made one of the earliest Internet $B's by selling broadcast.com.

    http://www.askmen.com/men/business_p...ark_cuban.html

It wouldn't be surprising if the Mavs had some special high-tech connections and projects.

The Spurs high tech angle ..... KRRT !! )

Right now channel 97 has a PPV symbol in the upper right hand corner on the guide for the game. Does that mean it's actual PPV? Or since I have the HD package, I'll get the game?

Yeah you'll get the game if it has the $ sign...and also if you have the HD package. All NBA pre-season games that are televised via Directv are shown for free up until the end of the first week of the season.

The only channel I see having it is 97...but like you guys already know it's HD only. Being that it's in Dallas I can't see why it would be blacked out here...

We have HD. We have channel 97. But it's not on.

I guess we should have read this more carefully.

), and you are signed up to receive HDNet from DIRECTV, DISH ...
I figured since I called and I held for 15 minutes while they checked earlier today, that when they said it would be on - it would be on.

Clueless CSR's. Takes a long time for the correct information to get to Pakistan.

I don't trust them at all now. First the Yankee game, now this. I kept repeating, are you SURE it's going to be on for me? She even went to check with the supervisor and they assured me, yes.
