I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it looks like the NBA REALLY wants the Lakers to advance.

Nash was practically mugged at the end of that game. Where's the foul?

It looks to me like the LAKERS really want the LAKERS to advance.

Give it up. We went over this yesterday, if it's all fixed then you may as well turn off your TV and stop watching because there would be no point. Stern didn't help Smush hit that 3 and the League didn't help Kobe make those shots. That's just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Besides, aren't there about 10 other threads alreay discussing the Lakers/Suns, you really needed to make a new one?

Have to agree. The 2 plays that made the difference (Smush 3, Smush steal = Kobe hard-as- -amazing basket) had nothing to do with the officials.

Which ref shot that game winning shot?

The ball still has to go through the damn hoop.

i think the suns were robbed
nash seemed pretty upset that his tiemout was given and the laker, cant remember who, barely even touched the ball beore the ref blew the whistle for a jump ball
also when they inbounded the ball when theere was like 15.x sec's left they clock didnt start for well over a second.
i think the suns are done, but the lakers either way arent getting much farther

Thanks to the unbiased Spurs fan's for thinking we were robbed. This whole series has been pretty one sided. Also, though we have been shooting horrible and Marion has not shown up much once again in the playoffs we have been right there in every game. Just the fact that they let Kwame and Luke Walton get away with those flagrant fouls without being tossed from the game or suspended at least one game has really hurt also. The Heat have two players suspended for similar type actions and Artest also proves there is disparity in the reffing. Maybe next year we can play you guy's if we have Amare and Kurt Thomas back full strength. Just kick whoever ends up playing you guy's in the butt!

The refs didn't force Nash to dribble into the same trap at the end of OT that he did in the end of regulation.

You say you're not one then you suggest there may be one, make up your mind.

Stern works hard to try to give the NBA a good image, he's not going to condone illegal or unethical behaviour from the refs that might affect the outcome of a game.

I think the refs want the lakers to win also. They always wanted the lakers to win. Especially during the lakers 3 peat. Kings and Lakers series was full of bad calls.

My favorite non-call/obvious foul was with .07 seconds left in regulation. The ball is thrown into the lane where Walton practically hog ties Jones so he can't get off the shot. He literally had Jones' hands pinned at the hips...

Nash expected to get bailed out by the refs. There was contact, no doubt, but the refs let them play.

Nash's mistake was that he wasn't calling time out, Diaw was. But even in that clip you can see Diaw's hands are open for the pass.

Have to give LA props because that was the 3rd time late in the game that they either needed a steal of the foul and they didn't blatantly foul Nash. 1st time late in regulation where Nash passed it to Diaw who they quickly fouled, 2nd time of course the Smush steal, 3rd this play.

The refs let them decide it on the court.

True, except Walton is standing out of bounds...

Agreed. This is my one gripe and it has nothing to do with the officials.

I was too busy being disappointed in Nash's incompetance to notice any officials wrongdoing. I suppose the timeout, but can we, from our seat with the privelage of replay, really know whether or not the ref, who's an arms length away from screaming fans, heard Nash? Nash certainly wasn't able to signal for it, since he had his hands wrapped around the ball (well, sort of).

I was encouraged by Phoenix's play that game. They really played well, save for their inability from behind the arc. Going home, I think they win and gain enough confidense to at least battle for game 6 in LA.

tough game, but winning is making the plays when your shots aren't falling and the Lakers made, the Suns didn't, let's move on.

EDIT: That picture is tough. Was the foot in bounds when the jumpball call was made? If not, then I guess that pic proves the Lakers were out of bounds. Oh well... suck it up and move on. Hopefully this is fuel for their fire and they finally play like they are capable of, all guns a blazin' at the same time for the next few games.

Diaw and Marion finally remembered it's win or go home last game. Hopefully Nash avoids the bonehead plays and House or Barbosa can come off the bench and chip in a dozen points or so.

If not, then can a Suns fan honestly say that Phoenix has been outplayed? Outhustled? Outcoached?

As of now, even in their one win, your can easily answer "yes" to every question above.
