Would you just rather no one announced the game?
I've felt that way many times, the mute button comes in very handy. I've also devised a method on my surround sound that brings the crowd noise louder and the announcers voices lower.

You dont watch the Spurs a lot do you? Hvent you been watching them in the finals and late rounds last few yearsas your team was fishing? They LOVE being in this position... 1-3 point game in the 4th qtr. Then they drop the hammer.

I think one of the reasons for these threads is that normally we have the option of a local broadcast team, and we don't have to listen to these wits. I use the mute button, but sometimes you don't know what caused a change in possesion without sound. Was it a foul? A travel? The ball touching the sideline on a dribble?

On some days I think the need for STFU threads well surpasses 20 .
