I do not think anyone of us expected Dallas to just lay down, did we?
I really think SA plays better on the road, and they will be rested come Saturday and get the split this weekend in Dallas.
Phoenix will also get the split in LA
After watching the two games last night, I don't feel as bad about the Spurs game 2 loss. Except for the Pistons, it looks like this round could be a tough one for every team.
I mean, both games last night were blow outs - and the Miami/Nets game was over in the 1st quarter!![]()
I think the Suns had the same problem the Spurs did - they played a tough, grueling 7 game series with the Lakers, had just one day off and had to start the next series. The momentum from the game 7 win carried them in game 1 - but everything caught up to them last night.
The next week should be quite interesting!

pass that around to the rest of us watever ur on![]()
Pop your Zoloft, and get back on the bandwagon, you pussies!!!!
The Spurs are taking game 3 and they are going to the Finals!!!!!
They will prevail, I can feel it in my bones.

This is basketball - you never know what will happen. That makes it just much more interesting. So basketball can not be predictable and that is ok.
When the Spurs lose a must win game, I will worry. Until then, I believe.
Hockey is much, MUCH more unpredicatable than basketball could ever dream.
You think SA plays better on the road? Their Record doesn't....
34-7 at home, 29-12 on the road.
I know the Mavs aren't better on the road, we were 34-7 at home 26-15 on the road. I know the Mavs play better at home, so I'm guessing the Spurs will have to a of alot better these next 2 games.
Hockey? Did they ever come back from that strike thing?![]()
"Basketball is like a box o choc-lates . . . "
SA's the best road team in the league. And historically in the playoffs they definitely play better on the road.
I'm sure y'all are well aware of that, given that the Wings have already gone ice fishing.
lol these new spurs fans are funny. They act like a little choke on a national TV game is something new...
It's tradition for Spurs.
Yeah I never expected the Sabres to sweep Senators...looks like they will. The only good thing about basketball's unpredictablility is you can go to the fridge and get a beer and come back and the lead can be in the other team's favor. I luv the fastbreak.
Mavs are 34-7 at home. That is pretty impressive and could decide the series if they hold all 3 games which I think is possible. Mavs in 6.
Spurs are 34-7 at home too, if we lost one then so can you. Spurs have the best road record in the league at 29-12, and one of those 29 was at AAC.
Yes, but this time you guys won't have Keith Van Horn on your team.
That's pretty funny, considering the Spurs' home record is exactly the same. What were you trying to prove with that statement? Spurs in 6.
Who knows how good the mavs would be if Harris was healthy and starting all year though? Despite the mavs record I am much more confident with Harris running the show over Terry.
Possible, but highly unlikely. I still have the Mavs in 6. It's what I predicted before the series and until SA wins 2 more games, I'm stickin to it!
I think both teams play better on the road. It's just tougher to win on the road hence the better home records. I'm hoping for the Mavs to win the next 2 games at home but I'm expecting a split. I think whoever wins game #5 in San Antonio wins this series if it's 2-2 going in.
I said possible. It was also possible for the spurs but they were too banged up to take advantage of being at home.
If we're gonna play the "who knows" game...who knows how good the Spurs would be if Timmy had been healthy all year and Tony and Manu were healthy right now? And Robert Horry hadn't gotten injured? And Rasho hadn't gotten injured? And Beno hadn't gotten injured? And Nick didn't have his elbow issues? And Sean Marks had stayed healthy all season? (Do I need to go on?) We had all those problems and STILL had a better record than Dallas.
Now, THAT, I agree with.
I think we all knew right up front, that this was going to be a tough series, and by no means was either team looking to sweep the other.
Miami takes a bad beating, and bounces back.
Clips take a bad beating, and bounces back.
I expect the same from the Spurs..
Just like Miami, Shaq got in foul trouble early on, which led to the blowout.
Duncan got saddled early in the second, which led to the blowout..
At least this insures that both series will go 5 games... Which means much more revenue.....
Now that that has been insured, maybe they will just let em play....
