In order for 2 teams to be considered rivals one team cannot own the other. If the Mavs win tonight then I will consider it a rivalry but until then Dallas will always play second fiddle to the Spurs. If the Spurs do win and capture 4th le dallas will never catch the Spurs as the best organization in Texas. EVER!
