This is true.

As a Pakistani we don't care much for Indians. But it's calmed down considerably in the past 7 years. It was just a movie, so nothing to get worked up over. Plus that's more the older generation, the younger generations that grew up in the states we pretty much inter-mingle with Indian people.


Still, Muslims and Hindu's don't get along. All it takes is the right words and a mini riot or fight will break out on the spot.

I used to work at the Galaxy (now the Rialto Bistro and Cinema) and we had an Indian group that would rent out one of our theatres once a month to show a film from the old country. Wonder if it's the same group? If they smelled awful it just might be. I'm not being racist! I've known plenty of people from India who have smelled just fine, but nearly every last one of the people who would come to those showings smelled like ass. I hated working on those nights because you'd basically have to hold your breath for four hours. How the can you stink so badly that you overpower the smell of popcorn in a movie theater?

I love my people, but some of us do smell. Even I smelled it as soon as I went into the theatre filled with my peoples, it just hits you like god...damn...



And I know which movies you're talking about. I know the guy whose parents used to organize that whole deal at the Galaxy. One of my dad's stores is like less than 5 minutes from there. It's not really the same group...the people who used to go to that were, well I won't get into the specifics but they're a certain section of brown, and it was probably the same small group every time...this was a big name movie that's premiering internationally at a lot of theatres so it was a little more broad range of people. If that makes any sense. I know brown is brown, but it's a little different.
