i wouldnt mind if we have 3-5picks for the 07/08 draft, the class of greg oden, that draft is deep, and alot of big guyz for us to work out.
But can anybody come up with a realistic trade idea that can get rid of Fabricio, Nazr, Brent, and Rasho?
My Ideas: Trade Brent and Rasho for JR Smith and Arvydas Macijauskas with a pick. If they're giving us those two guys for just Brent they gotta at least give us a pick for Rasho.
Let Nazr go to Chicago. We'll get Javtokas anyway. Maybe even Scola.(I don't mean to be y. Nazr was good, but I think we just need to part ways.)
Trade Fabricio to anybody for a pick between 25 and 50 in next year's draft.

We are not gonna move Rasho. that would be dumb
Do you really believe that NO will eat up their cap space trading two players (Smith/Macijauskas) who make a combined $3.5 M for Rasho and Brent who will make a combined $12.3 M?
And do you really want the Spurs to surround Tim Duncan with Horry (who will be in the deep freeze until the All-Star break) and some foreign rookies?

Yes I do.
Rasho doesn't need to be moved.
replace dumb with impossible
Rasho sucks.
I'm glad you started this thread, because it's not like we've had the same conversion running for three weeks now or anything....My Ideas: Trade Brent and Rasho for JR Smith and Arvydas Macijauskas with a pick. Rasho ought to be kept. He's the only veteran big.
Nobody's going to be raining us with first round draft picks next year. They're worth a mint at this point.
I would be happy if any team like to take Rasho. Don't expect giving us any pick for return.
If you include Beno and Finley you might be able to get AI and Willie Green. Not sure if that would help you guys though. You could move Manu to the 3 and Oberto/Horry to the 4 and Duncan at Center. Might be a good small ball lineup.
Who in there right minds would trade for Oberto?
, he wouldn't even be on THIS team if he wasn't under contract.
Uh, no.
Why in the would we wanna acquire Allen Iverson and Willie Green? It's like saying that it's ok to acquire a ballhog and a useless reserve.
Amen.
BTW, Rasho and Barry should be traded because they are too expensive towards what they bring to the team
....which begs the question as to why Pop and R.C. were in such a rush to sign this 30-year old rookie, who doesn't have the size necessary to guard 5's nor the quickness or length to step out and guard 3's and 4's.
Rasho & Barry for PJ brown, Smith & Macijauskas works.
Barry, Oberto & Beno to the Bucks for Joe Smith, Mo Williams & Ersan Ilyasova works as well...although I'm sure they wouldn't want to get rid of Mo, but this trade solves our backup PG problem as well as getting us a SF who could turn into something..Joe Smith's deal is expiring & gives us another big body.
Correct
The only players I want to leave are Nazr and Van Exel. Nazr to free agency and Van Exel is retiring. That's all. Keep the rest and add either Scola or Javtokas, preferably Scola.
The front office should consider trading Barry only if they could get someone young or an expiring contract in return.
Don't forget people that we barely lost to the Mavs in a series that could've gone either way. No need to shake things up, just add a piece or two to the mix.
I say get rid of Nazr, Exel and oberto.
Barry is the hard one.. he can be GREAT.. but it's not consistant performance.
