My roommate's best friend is John Frusciante's brother, so I hope to score some tickets sometime.
Yes. They will be in Portland on Aug 11th. I don't think they will be in Texas though.
I heard they will not be in Texas at all this summer. But you should get tickets if you can Tlong, several friends have said they do an awesome show.
Oh man, luuuuuuuuuucky.
They put on a very good show, their last show in SA was the best show I've been to.
I wish I could have seen them in the 80's.
Am I the only one who thinks the peppers' constant use of the word "California" is totally annoying?
We get it, they love and live in california, we get it.
I always hated the Chilli Peppers. I never liked their sound, though Scar Tissue is a good song.
Give it away is the most annoying song every performed. It makes Hollaback Girl sound like Stairway to Heaven.
I only own One Hot Minute, cuz I'm a Dave Navarro fan. His spin on RHCP's sound was cool, I think, although Fruscante is a far superior guitarist.
Twice. They're great live.
I saw them right as they were getting noticed around Mother's Milk ('90 or '91) at a club in Houston called Numbers. Frusciante was pretty new in the band. It was a crazy show. Crazy energy with Anthony Kiedis doing handstands and wrapping his ankles around Frusciante's neck and toppling him to the floor. Good times.
I've never been able to catch them since and I never saw them with original guitarist Hillel Slovak. I'm going to make it a point to see tham next this time around. I always thought it was wierd, though, that an LA band with a song like Magic Johnson did the music video on the Spurs '03 championship DVD. Flea is a big Laker and NBA fan. His blog might still be up at NBA.com.
Go see them!
RHCP was at the Pinkpop festival in Holland last weekend and they kicked freakin' ass!
AWESOME!
I saw them back in the 80's at a little club in Tulsa before they were famous.
Labor Day wk in Dallas.
Lollapalooza II I think.
I think Ministry was just as good (or dare I say better) than RHC that day. Guess that depends on your musicaly tastes.
Lollapalooza I I saw @ Irvine Meadows.
Here was the lineup for L II.
What a long day that was.
Main Stage: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Ice Cube, Ice T, Soundgarden, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pearl Jam, Lush, Temple of the Dog
Damn that was when Ministry was at peak popularity... i heard people lit huge bonfires in that dallas lollapalooza show
mr dio you're the
to see ministry in their hay day....69 69 69 69
yeah
they're coming to austin in july. i highly recommend seeing them again. their new stuff is much harder than psalm 69.
jesus christ lollapalooza used to be the ...i wish i hadn't been in 2nd grade so i could have seen those shows
concerts like that just don't exist any more....and if they did, tickets would probably be like 300 dollars, like that horribly overpriced SXSW
Man I would have died of heat exhaustion or suffocation if I had gone to that show
Rio Grande Blood is one of the best metal albums I've heard in a long time.
Al said in a recent interview that he was going straight to his el paso studio after the current Masterbatour to do yet another Anti-Bush album, and it will be the final Ministry album. He said he wants the anti-bush albums to be a trilogy, and doesn't want to be making music as a 60 year old suck ass like the rolling stones.
What a bad mother er![]()
ministry's best song is every day is halloween. BOP BOP BOPBOP. damn that song kicks all sorts of ass. i almost prefer them britpop style.
no way dawg, flashback owns that song
pneumatic drill
