Nies just called a foul on Shaq saying he hacked Dirk. Replays showed there wasn't even any contact between the two.

yeah I know shaq was like 1 inch away from dirk on that shot, I dont know what refs see when Dirk shoots to assume he was fouled but they keep calling it, and it is those calls that get the mavs and dirk going
I guess Cuban just realized the easiest way to buy an NBA le isn't to pay Michael Finley 20 million a year, it's to fund the NBA referee pension fund with some sizeable donations.

Well they finally called Dirk on his spinning, travelling fade-away, so I can die a happy man.
Nies and Ken Mauer (both out there tonight) have been awful this year... quick whistles against any Mavs opponent... but I guess Stackhouse and Howard can all they want...

You're right, nothing says great officiating like zebras calling fall calls where the replay clearly shows there was space (air) in between the two players and no contact.AHF complaining about officials?? NO WAY!!!

Wade was called for PULLING UP...not for hanging too long. He dunked, then with arms extended he proceeded to do a chin-up, then let go. EASY call...

Dampier hung a little...borderline...could've gone either way. He had a player closer to him than Wade did, but still not right under him or anything...
He didn't pull up, but did kick his feet out...Shaq was right behind him...
It seems like I remember Damp looking back to check before dropping off the rim...which might be why they didn't call it. Damp has been known to hang and get T'd up though...
There's no point...everybody in this thread is just looking for calls against the Heat that were bogus in the mind of a Spurs fan. Completely over-looking the calls that go the other way. The officiating was plenty fair last night...bad calls both ways...missed calls both ways...touch fouls, 3 seconds, traveling, palming...they called it all...
The Mavs blew the game...there's no point in sitting around talking about officiating...
