I think you can bid on flights that would otherwise go unsold on Travelocity, Orbitz, and Priceline.

Try kayak.com It's a new type of site that searches all the other sites (expedia, travellocity, etc) and returns the cheapest of the cheap. Dozens of flights meet your criteria for about $550.

If you could delay your trip just one week you could try to get 7-day advanced purchase fares (if you can find any available seats): SW, US Air $326, Continental $334

There is also a $185 14-day advance fare from Austin-Baltimore on Delta.
