Steve McNair's long-awaited trade to the Baltimore Ravens has finally taken place.
FOXSports.com has learned that the ans have agreed to trade the quarterback to the Ravens for a fourth-round pick. The trade however is contingent on McNair passing a physical with the Ravens.
An off-season of turmoil between McNair and the only team he's ever played for came to a head April 3 when the ans told the 2003 co-MVP he couldn't work out on their property without a cheaper deal because they worried about the liability from a $23.46 million salary cap hit if he got hurt.
McNair won the right to return last week from an arbitrator. But the ans told him in a letter he had to take a physical before being allowed to work out. Early last month, McNair and the Ravens came to financial terms on a deal provided the ans and Ravens could work out a trade, but at that time no trade was consummated.

Yup Billy will finally get some action unless they are just going to toss VY in there.
Bout time the ans dealt him. That $9M salary was killing them. Would have been no way to keep McNair and Young because Young will get a $12M signing bonus easy.
Ehhhh, that means Vince Young will set the record for rookie QB rushing touchdowns

if I ever said that i was exaggerating, but he will definitely rack up some touchdowns and be at the top of his rookie class.
So are the Tbaggers going to be able to sign their rookies now? (There was talk they couldn't even get under the cap enough for the rookie allocation).
Vince could score 100 TDs this year and they still might be picking 2nd in the draft next year (right after the Texans).
5 year deal???? I love McNair because I am a ans fan but he is runned down. He won't last 5 years. I thought he should of stayed with the ans this year and mentor Vince then retire.
Sounds like the ans did not really want him though. But it would have been nice for Vince to have him as a mentor.
Billy Volek will start out the season and play half way in and then Vince will take over
