I expect the League to announce suspension of Herr Nowitski for sending the ball into the stands.

That ball sending and ejected has been done before. Since Dirk's class move was after the game, his ejection should be a next game suspension.

failing to leave the court in a timely manner after the game. Cuttino
Mobley (Sac) was fined $15,000 for comments he made about the refs following
the game. Chris Webber (Sac) was fined $10,000 for kicking the ball into

    ===============

Fine is the minimum, but a one-game suspension is strongly advised, given the context of the Mavs egregiously bad behavior, eternal whining and ing, and their 2 suspensions already in the playoffs.

, the suspension would be great entertainment.

I doubt it would though, I mean if the heat win they'd want Dallas at full strength.

David Stern would be commiting suicide for the league is Dirk was suspended. Plus they would lose money, no one would watch game 6 and there would be no chance of a game 7.

Well, I can't go there anymore. Got banned because I'm not a bandwagoning Mavs homer. The moderator, JonG, who's now crying conspiracy over here, banned me for posting a picture of fake cat poop. He's also the one who gave me that hideous avatar. You have to admit, that forum is completely lame, which is why so many of you are over here.

No one in the Mavericks organization can handle losing. So childish, its kinda pathetic. I was laughing when I saw Nowitizki throw a tantrum that reminded me of a five year old's. You have to be able to handle winning and losing.

Fine but there will be no suspension.

it was a sad 28th birthday of Dirk Nowitski. Let's just be kind guys!

    source:ESPN.com news services

Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki was fined $5,000 for kicking a basketball into the stands
at the conclusion of Sunday night's Game 5 of the NBA Finals, the NBA announced Monday.

Nowitzki, who scored 20 points in Dallas' 101-100 overtime loss, kicked the ball into the stands as he left the court. On his way to the locker room, he slammed against a stationary bike, then kicked at something else.

Nowitzki was upset following a controversial ending to a classic battle in Miami. First, Nowitzki was called for a touch foul with just under 2 seconds left and the Mavs up 1 to put Dwyane Wade on the free-throw line.

After Wade hit the first free throw, the referees signaled that Dallas had called its final timeout, then they waved the players back and said no timeout had been called. But referee Joe DeRosa stepped in and said a Dallas player, apparently Josh Howard, had indeed used up the Mavs' final timeout. Coach Avery Johnson protested vehemently, but to no avail, and Wade calmly knocked down the next one.

"Josh Howard goes to Joe DeRosa and not only once, but twice, asked for a timeout. Forced to call it, simple as that," crew chief Joe Crawford told a pool reporter.

    Howard disputed that version.

Dallas owner Mark Cuban was also irate over the game's ending. After the final buzzer, Cuban ran onto the court to vent at DeRosa, then stared down and screamed toward commissioner David Stern and a group of league officials, from the court, then the stands.

Cuban was still boiling about a half-hour later during a testy interview with reporters.

He also wrote a blog entry Monday explaining why he used profanity during a response to a question about whether this was the worst loss he'd endured.

The NBA has not yet announced any disciplinary action against Cuban.

They have only suspended 3 of the Mavs players and none of the Heat's even though Shaq has been guilty over and over.

    Shaq's guilty of what?
He whacked Dirk's face until he nearly dislocated his jaw in the third game, he tore up Jerry Stackhouse's nose and it required 3 s ches, just to name two. He should have been at least suspended for the Stackhouse injury, but he was not. Stackhouse got suspended for hitting Shaq. Our papers here in NC say 'Zo was even incenced at Stackhouse's suspension!
