Ronnie Brewer, first group.
Thabo Sefolosha, second group.
Who do you think the Spurs would/will select if they move into the 11-20 range? If they move into the 21-30 range?
Ronnie Brewer, first group.
Thabo Sefolosha, second group.
11- 20 Saer Sene: probably not a target but he and Mahinmi would potentially be a nice foundation for the future. Looks like a Mutumbo type.

Rajon Rondo: Solve the backup PG problem and get a lockdown perimeter defender.
21-30 Thabo Sefolosha - not sure he'll last that long.
or Diaz

Ronnie Brewer & Quincy Douby
Spurs are probably working for a draft day deal, that sends someone and the pick out of here. If they do pick, look for them to select another overseas talent and leave them overseas for a couple of seasons. I don't think there is much to draft up for, but maybe they select a long 3 or a backup PG. I wouldn't be suprised to see them try to get another SG if Barry is traded.
the draft is tonight right? should be interesting. you guys thing there will be a flurry of exchanged picks/players since the field seems so ehh?
15-20 (I don't think they move into the lottery): Alexander Johnson
21-30: Marcus Vinicius
Both those players should be available well into the second round, tho' DX likes Johnson a lot. I don't see the Spurs acquiring and then blowing a first rounder on an unpolished lifetime backup PF.
ESPN, DraftExpress, and HoopsHype all have Johnson going before #20. I grant that he's unpolished, but he's a monster athlete. If he can improve with some good coaching, he could definitely help us.
Vinicius may well be available at the top of the 2nd, but I don't think he lasts more than a few picks if he does. Picking him in the first locks him into a reasonable contract when we bring him over, and means we don't have to use an exception to sign him.
How about Joel Freeland towards the end of the 1st?
The draft is on the 28th, no?
Draft is on Wednesday night, per usual.
Another end of the 1st round guy perhaps worth a look is Kevin Pittsnogle. Bigman with good size and a solid J.
Shawne Williams has a very interesting profile from a Spurs' perspective.
did no tthe hawks so they want
