Something similar has been discussed. More like Nazr and Scola's rights. I don't think you get the #16 without giving them Scola.
what do you guys think about Nazr and Barry for the Bull's 1st round 16th pick.
Something similar has been discussed. More like Nazr and Scola's rights. I don't think you get the #16 without giving them Scola.
It means convincing Nazr to do a sign and trade, which as a free agent, he's under no obligation to do.
Dude, rephase your le, i thought you had some media qoute.
Well, he's from Chitown, and their money is also green.
Can't happen. No FA can sign until mid-July.
Ginobili for Chandler. Make it happen.
You wish.
Details, details.
Yeah, all we could do is Barry at this point.
I just wanted Duhon for Nazr.
Spurs can pay him more, I think.
So it's in his best interest to sign here for as much as he can, and then be traded wherever he wants to go. That's speculation, I'm no salary cap expert.
If Nazr leaves I hope it's a sign-N-trade I hope we don't lose'em for nothing
Well, it wouldn't really be 'nothing'.
He was brought in to dump Malik's contract as a hired gun basically for a year or two. We knew when his contract was up it would be hard to keep him...the whole idea was to clear money so we could go out and sign other players.
He's our last big! what if we meet Shaq in the finals whos gonna bump'em or any other big for that matter also rebound .
Honestly, Shaq doesn't scare me anymore.
We don't need the Rasho's of the world to stick with him anymore, but we do need some people with mental toughness who won't cave like es. Like another team int this years finals.
You could do a sign and trade....?
But I don't think Nazr and Barry get you the 16th pick.
Scola, Barry, and Beno for Duhon and the 16th pick. Plus cash.
If we have the chance to make a spur of Scola, ther's no reason to sell him at that cheap price!
He's NBA unproven as like all the players of this NBA draft, but has a lot more experience at a very higher level...and he fills an absolute need (the go to player in the middle when Tim is resting!)
For that kind of package, Chicago should, at least, give to us their n° 2 choice...otherwise, no way we (should) make such a deal.
The point is : are we sure now ther's a buy out affordable by our franchise ?
He's he now really willing to come in NBA ?
In case the answer is yes...take him and let him play.
The worst case scenario (injuries not included) is Scola having a decent season and, next season, the double of his market value...
If Chicago wants to give us their number 2 pick for Scola and etc, then yes, that's what you do, but if tey give us their 16th pick, so be it.
You have to face facts, SCOLA WILL NOT BE A SPUR.
Let's get something for him.
Are you that sure of it ?
I wouldn't...
That is what I think, Bulls needs a big man (better is to think in 2 big man), don't forget the babies bulls gave a lot of work to MIA in playoffs, so they are desperate looking for big boys NAZR + Scola's rights > NAZR + Barry for them IMHO.
How about Josh Howard and Devin Harris for Chandler?
I think this is the best signature I've ever seen on a Spurs board. Props, Spurschick.
Daily Southtown - Is Kevin Garnett to Chicago being discussed once again?
According to the Daily Southtown, the outrageous athleticism of forward Tyrus Thomas, obtainable by the Bulls with the second overall pick in today's draft, has piqued the interest of the Timberwolves, among other teams.
One possibility has Thomas headed to the Bulls at the second overall pick. They then would send Thomas, center Tyson Chandler and forward Luol Deng to the Timberwolves in return for Garnett, the former Farragut Academy star. The deal could include other draft picks or lesser players.
Such a move would provide the Timberwolves with a young frontcourt to build around. In Garnett, the Bulls would have the superstar talent necessary to make a serious playoff run next spring, provided they're able to sign a free-agent center, such as Nene or Joel Przybilla, this summer.
Wolves coach Dwane Casey is not a fan of any deal involving Garnett, however.
"I don't even want to think about the scenario when Kevin's not here," Casey was quoted to have said earlier in the week. "Kevin being here is the most important thing and us building around him and getting things done in free agency to complement him. This guy's a superstar, and to even think about him not here. ... You'd have to put me in a straitjacket."
