I kind of agree. Not that Bonner sucks, but that he's soft. I'd like the Spurs to get some tough inside pieces (Javtokas helps). But we traded soft for soft here.
The Spurs just became softer than ever. How many more paper thin 6 10 and over guys can they get?
The Spurs need muscle, rebounding, speed, swagger and they got a 6 10 3 point shootin redhead that can't drive.
WTF?

This pretty much guarantees that Bonner goes for 9 & 6 in 18 minutes a night next season.
Bonner has red hair. That means he's Irish. Get him drunk and he'll deck the opposing center.
6 what? 6 games played? That's about it. Another piece of the puzzle that doesn't fit.
Matt Bonner is a poor man's Brian Scalabrine.
Matt Bonner warms up chairs for lottery teams.
That's because Scalabrine is way, way, way, way, way overpaid.
How about Brian Cardinal?
Two things you can't say about Bonner is he's thin and soft. You can say he's fat, slow or unathletic and you'd have more of a case.
That said, Bonner is going to be a good role player. 7 and 4 is very doable out of him.
They took any player at all that would get rid of Rasho.
Last season they tried trading Rasho for a guy who didn't even play in the league.
So it doesn't matter if Bonner is short, fat, tall, skinny, or whatever. He got rid of Rasho's contract, which was management goal.
Bonner is not the athletic rebounding forward that the Spurs need. He's a perimeter guy who will space the floor with his shooting, and play scrappy.
Bonner should be a nice bench player in SA. Compared to what they were willing to take back last summer, he's much better.
Exactly, Bonner is/was the missing piece to getting rid of Rasho. Other than that, he will be an excellent bench player. He will probably lead the team in minutes on the bench.
The Bonner trade doesn't address a costly Game 7 foul by Ginobili.
Besides, the Spurs are only into him for this upcoming season only. After which his contract expires.
There is that. The Spurs can simply enjoy the expiring contracts themselves.
Exactly. WOAI acts like he is the next piece to a championship.
What do you guys think of Mikale Pietrus from the Warriors...Good defender, young...more of an offensive upside than Bruce.

MP or Jared Jeffries is the possible future SF that SPURS need but the problem is how to get them? SPURS don't have many trade assets IMO and Barry, Beno and Scola aren't that attractive
So they got rid of Rasho and somehow got softer? That goes against laws of physics.
What they do have is the ability to take back a bad contract. I'd also say that Scola and Udrih aren't great, but they aren't chopped liver either.
And Sequ acts as though they need to bring in the second coming of David Robinson in order to achieve a championship.
This team is/was championship material with or without any further moves. That said, its not even July yet.
We traded softer for soft.
And saved some money, along with adding a 3 point shooter. What's the minus again?
As has Avery.
As has Will Perdue.
As have many players whose skills aren't used properly on a team that has too many holes to fill, and can't just let a player do what he does and either ask too much or don't work him into there offense/defense.
Lol, that's funny.
I was wondering who would be the first to come out and say it. Kudos to SequSpur.
