Las Vegas will never have a team. How the are you going to get every casino to agree to take off NBA betting from their books? Won't happen.
I'm gonna go with Anaheim.
Las Vegas, Pittsburg, San Diego? What cities would lose theirs?

Best guesses.
Sacramento, Seattle, and New Orleans loose.
Anahiem, New York, and Oklahoma gain.
BTW, aren't the Nets mooving to Brooklyn?
sad but true. vegas will never get a team, though they deserve one.
Yup. Hey, are you guys saying that NY will have 2 teams like L.A does? Possibility.
Jay-Z's arena plan in that laptop commercial looks sick.
Isn't NY getting the Nets? I can't really see NY getting a 2nd or 3rd team.
Anaheim, Oklahoma and San Diego would be my bets.
I hope Oklahoma City gets one, they deserve it after their show of fan and financial support of the Hornets.
OKIes prob would be next...
I don't here any talk of a team even wanted in SD???
ANyone hear talk about it there????
San Diego already has lost two teams (Rockets, Clippers). In addition, spending three hours indoors on a San Diego evening is not a very compelling opportunity.
We are having trouble even keeping the Chargers here. I haven't heard any talks of a basketball team.
LOL..... I heard about the trouble with the Chargers but zero on BB.... Is there enough support there for a team???
Arena??
Sponsors??
No, no, and no. There aren't enough "locals" in San Diego to support a team. There are too many transplants living there.
But the Chargers future in San Diego is looking brighter. Other cities in the county are saying they have sites for a new stadium and are willing to help out with the cost.
"Anaheim"? You mean L.A. will get another franchise?
yeah, that's pretty evident. When the Cowboys and Steelers played there last year, the Cowboy and Steeler fans was loud. I would probably say there was more Cowboy and Steeler fans than Charger fans in San Diego.
As far as a new NBA Franchise:
Kansas City or St. Louis= one of the Missouri Cities deserve one. KC is building a damn good arena right now to take place of the Kemper Arena. St. Louis is St. Louis. They have the clout to support an NBA team.
Louisville= A possible choice but they probably will not get it for the same reason that OKC will never get an NFL team. They love college basketball too much up there.
Oklahoma City= not that big of a basketball state so I can see the NBA working there and they are hungry for a pro sport. They are tired of living off of Texas teams to root for when they hate us so much.![]()
Birmingham= why the not. They are big enough to support a team. Over 1 million people in the metro and Atlanta is over 200 miles away, they can easily support an NBA team.
Norfolk/Hampton Roads = Largest metro in the nation without any professional team I believe. There isn't a professional team in the state of Virginia. Wouldn't have a problem with Richmond either.
longshot: Omaha, Tampa,
St. Louis is not ideal, because the Blues have first dibs on the revenue streams from the SAVVIS Center, so unless the new owner of the Blues decides he wants an NBA team too, the economics aren't there. As far as a new NBA Franchise:

KC would work better.
There were a lot of them, but there definitely wasn't "more". The way they broadcast the game though, you would have thought it. It was a Charger home game and all they kept showing were Steeler fans. It was ing ridiculous.
there has already been alot of talk about a new l.a team
I'd like for Oklahoma to get a team. It's just too weird to hear them all say they were rooting for the Mavs. Plus it may one day add even more fuel to the fire that is the Texas/OU rivalry.
Show me an nba player that wants to say "I want to play in oklahoma". It would be trying to land any free agents.
exactly!
After Cuban's actions this year, I wouldn't be surprised if we have a hard time finding players who will say "I want to play in Dallas." Bottom line though is a lot of players will go where the money is at, and if the money is in Oklahoma, they'll be in OK too.
