That's all Boston is getting?
Ouch.
To Boston for the 7th pick.
I don't know what the Boston is thinking, this guy sucks. He's TP minus the ability to finish at the basket, with a worse jumpshot...and shorter.
That's all Boston is getting?
Ouch.
I saw him play against the Mavs this year at the AAC. Telfair and Randolph where the only players out on the court for the blazers worth a damn. He has some upside to him.
Its futureworld. Telfair, West, Green, Jefferson, Perkins
Paul Pierce was on Quite Frankly last night and really didn't say much when Stephen A asked him how he would feel about Telfair coming. He said he'd like a veteran PG. He mentioned how he would like Iverson on the team. Pierce needs to go somewhere else.
Philly would be dumbasses for sending AI to Boston.....they are divisional rivals for crying out loud.
Then again, Billy King is dumb enough to do it![]()
Telfair has upside, but I don't see them improving right away.
WTF is Boston doing? They got ripped off. Ainge should've been fired 10 minutes after the trade was finalized. Telfair wasn't even a starter on Portland the worst team in the league.
Maybe Philly wants him as part of the Proposed AI deal in that case Philly is stupid for not just taking the #7 pick instead.
There is a possibility that he can improve. There wasn't a PG in the draft that they could have gotten that would have helped them right away. Its not a great deal, but its okay.
Telfair needs to develop a floater like Parker did.
And he needs to devlop some sort of mid-range jumper. After he does that, he an utilize his speed to make plays...but until he does that, any decent defense can shut him down at will.
Too many people watched that ing stupid "Into the Fire" Video and not enough watched him play. I got League Pass-he sucks he can't shoot. Before you say he can develop a jumper beware I can give you a list of 500 hard working guys who never developed a jumper. So it's not that simple.
Ben Wallace
That's not fair, Wallace is a banger.
Better comparison might be a ... Jamaal Tinsley.
Hehe...fair enough.
Ok, they also get Ratliff for Raef.
Ainge isn't completely stupid after all.
Heres one perfect example out of hundreds (just imagine all the guys who aren't in the league or never got to the league because they couldn't shoot). ESPN Insider analysis, Brevin Knight:
Knight is a perfect example of a Fluke Rule candidate. Completely without warning, the 29-year-old journeyman set career highs in points, assists, and free-throw percentage; averaged double figures for the first time in his career; and shot above his career percentage. The odds are overwhelmingly strong that he'll revert to the trend of his previous seven NBA seasons, when his weak jumper was too much of a liability to overcome his skills at penetrating and distributing the ball.
It's also important information for the Bobcats, or any other team interested in bidding for Knight's services as a free agent. Yes, he was excellent in 2004-05, but the odds of him repeating the performance are slim. Clubs should adjust their contract offers accordingly.

Guy is a hard working intelligent guy who just can't shoot. At all. End of story.
Boston has alot of raw talent man.
Jarret Jack is going to be better than Telfair. This was a no-brainer deal for the Blazers.
Except for Raef's years, that's a good deal for Portland.
Raef has 3 years left and Theo has 2. Not too much of a difference.
