    Marcus Banks | 3
    Position: G
    Born: Nov 19, 1981
    Height: 6-2 / 1,88
    Weight: 200 lbs. / 90,7 kg.

    Info

Spurs rumored to have an interest in him. Fairly nondescript career prior to his trade to Minnesota last season. Would be a nice backup for TP. Probably looking for a bigger role elsewhere.

Likely to cost too much money, given the other needs we have.

Let's get Ben Wallace first if we're trying to get starters.

Banks would be excellent. I'd love to have him here. He can score and defend the little guys. However, he's probably too pricey.

Banks is solid. It seems unlikely that he would go to the Spurs, but anything is possible.

This would be a great pickup, and a good counter to the Mavs adding James to their backcourt posse.

Spurs need to add some talent at some point. I'm glad they are concerned about the 2010-11 season but until then how about they try to give TD some help through the end of his career?

You trade Beno, Barry, Oberto, and the rights to Scola to the Bucks for Magloire and Ersan Ilyasova.

Use the MLE to sign Banks.

    Tony/Banks
    Manu/Finley/Sanders
    Bowen/Ilyasova/Williams
    Tim/Horry/Bonner
    Magloire/Javtokas

FREE-AGENT UPDATE: A source said Sacramento has offered Kings free-agent guard Bonzi Wells a five-year contract worth about $36 million, but Wells, who made $8 million last season, wants more. The Nuggets are interested in Wells but can't offer more than a five-year, $30 million deal.

Michael Higgins, agent for Minnesota Timberwolves free-agent guard Marcus Banks, said Nuggets director of player personnel Mark Warkentien has called about his client but mainly just to touch base. Higgins said it's most likely Banks, primarily a point guard, will return to the Timberwolves.

"I've heard their name a couple of times," Banks said of the Nuggets. "Who knows? I can play the combo (guard)."

Makes sense -- he'll start there. If someone else were lining up to offer him a starting job, we would probably have heard about it by now.

"I've heard their name a couple of times," Banks said of the Nuggets.
After last year, I bet FA point guards can't wait to sign with Denver.
