Say your congrats to Bledsoe.
i agree. they are looking very good. they were my preseason pick to win it all, and im still sticking by it. GO EAGLES!
Yeah because it's not like McNabb, or the Eagles D had anything to do with it...![]()
Not quite. There's still the loss to the Giants at home in week #2 after blowing the 18 point lead in the 4th quarter. The NFC East belongs to Philly
the giants shouldnt even have won that game. the refs totally ed up on that Dawkins interception that they called a completetion for the Giants. that was one of the tiest calls ive seen in a while.
oh, and last time i checked, the Eagles are 4-1, while the Giants are 2-2. so the division actually does currently belong to Philly.
Yap Yap miracle fumble for a touch down, Trent Cole being a moron with a penalty that puts their weak ass kicker into range to tie it up, the Giants are the least of my fears in the NFC east.
Typical. I guess most Cowboys fans still prefer to place blame instead of giving credit to the other team once in a while.
Maybe if your team had an offensive line that could provide protection, and a secondary that wasn't so easy to beat, I'd listen to all the Bledsoe finger-pointing. But he's only one of your problems.
you quarterback got sacked and threw an interception
eagles looked better then I thought
but it was against to they were geared up for it
actually, McNabb didnt throw any interceptions.

We do give credit to the fecals. But it still does not take away that Bledsoe kept underthrowing balls and overthrowing balls consistently in games. He kept taking sacks in dire situations. He holds onto the ball way tooooo long. He plays like he's a rookie against good teams especially on the road. He's been doing this ever since he came into the league. He did it with New England and Buffalo. I remember the day we signed him, New England and Buffalo fans flocked to Cowboy boards and warned us about Bledsoe and we was not hearing that whatsoever. I be damned if they wasn't telling the truth.
Now, our oline was horrible yesterday but I also have to point at the coaching. I'm tired of the conservative gameplan. Why not put Bledsoe in the shotgun mode? Why not let Julius run more, he was having a great day until we simply abandoned it. The Cowboys with carless turnovers spotted the Eagles 10 early points which set the tone of the day.It was just a frustrating game.
WITH ALL OF THAT SAID, there's still football to be played. I was ready to cut loose of Bledsoe last night. But I calmed down. The Eagles have a VERY tough schedule the rest of the way and they have to go to New York and Dallas later in the season. No more Houstons and Green Bays and San Franciscos. They maybe tops now. But don't be surprised if they aren't by the end of November.
Meanwhile, the 2nd half of the season gets easier for Dallas with nearly every game being at home.
I'm not impressed-yet. I'll wait and see how well they do against the Saints, Colts, Falcons, Giants and Redskins before I'm convinced they're back.
If I were an Eagles fan, I would be worried. We gave up multiple turnovers, 7 sacks and we still had a chance to win at the end of the fourth. You don't have a running game and your o-line is hardly playoff worthy. The way Philly's defensive coordinator runs his LB's and Safeties, they'll be out of gas by midseason.
Philly played a great game and it was a tough loss for us, but it's still early in the season. Don't expect us to make the same mistakes during our rematch in Dallas.

Yeah, serious. Rumor is Roy Williams is actually going to start practicing how to cover instead of just hitting people.
That was Mr. Watkin's (our FS) assignment if you're referring to that long bomb for a TD. RY was there as backup and took a ridiculously bad angle on it. Don't forget what Roy did to the Eagles last year in a game that was supposed to be over.
But the bad angle was just another example of Roy's lack of ability in the passing game.
the eagles made plenty of dumb mistakes themselves. there were about 5 or 6 dropped passes that are normally caught, and several were on 3rd down. there was also the dumb fumble by westy, and some poor protection at bad times as well. both teams made dumb mistakes, but the Eagles made less, and found a way to make plays. the cowboys didnt. thats why even though the cowboys are more talented, the eagles are a better team. they have people that can make plays, especially their QB. if your QB cant make plays (which bledsoe has proved he is not a playmaker) then you cant win. philly played well, but did not play a GREAT game. they just found a way to win, which is what good teams do. if they had truly played well, the game would have been over in the 1st quarter.
and i dont think that you should be talking about the eagles line. they allowed 3 sacks against one of the best front lines (possibly THE best) in the league. the cowboys allowed 7, a couple of which actually came from just a 4 man rush.
the cowboys may have made some dumb mistakes that should be corrected, but so did the eagles. but the eagles have one of the best QB's and playmakers in the league, while the Cowboys have an average at best QB who instead consistently makes plays for the opposing team. the Eagles will stomp the Cowboys next time they meet.
dont even try to cover up for Roy. he is one of the worst pass coverage safties in the game. he should instead add another 5-10 lbs and play LB. he would be a beast. but he cant cover for . the weak coverage from the safties is going to really hurt the Cowboys defense this year (again). what roy did last year has nothing to do with his coverage abilities. he simply did what he was supposed to do for once at that time. however, how many easy TD's has he given up because of his ty coverage? remember the Washington game last year? his poor coverage singlehandedly lost them a game that should have been an easy victory to a very average, overrated team last year.
And I'd be even more worried if I were a Cowboys fan right now. It's only 5 games into year one and "getcha popcorn ready" Owens is already screaming at coaches on the sidelines. He also wasted no time throwing his new QB under the bus. The media is once again questioning Bledsoe as QB, and their pass protection is . At least the Eagles have a mobile QB who can buy a few more seconds with his feet. You're stuck with Mr. Statue and an unproven.
It's still early in the year, so I'm not burying anybody just yet. But don't you worry your little head none about the Eagles. Mt. Owens and a quarterback controversy is a far more frightening prospect than anything the Eagles might be facing this year.![]()
yea, the cowboys definitely have some issues. i dont have a problem with Owens being frustrated. he has every right to. any WR of his caliber in his situation would be. but since hes "T.O.", everyone thinks its a terrible problem. i guarantee that any other top WR would be pissed and mouthing off if they were in his situation. he is arguably the best WR in the game, and the QB doesnt even look at his side of the field for the majority of the game. and when he does throw to him, 2 of the throws are so bad, they get picked off with ease, when they easily could have been either big gains, or TDs. sure, owens dropped an easy ball, but that happens from time to time. he just had surgery for a broken hand, so hes bound to drop a couple. but thats no excuse for not throwing to him. if bledose has been looking for owens more, the Cowboys could have won that game. but bledsoe is too stupid to do anything right. and the media isnt questioning that bledsoe is a bad QB. he simply is. he sucks. i think owens had every right to complain at that game. he was open a number of times, and bledsoe instead did stupid thinks, like throw picks and was too focused on throwing to glenn, that he didnt pay attention to owens or the pass rush, and got sacked.
IMO, the Cowboys are the most talented team in the NFL, but they dont play well together, and their QB cant make plays. they make me think of the patriots, and what made the patriots able to win so much recently. they had a decent amount of talent, but there were always definitely more talented teams in their championship years (the Raiders, Rams, ans, Panthers, Colts, Eagles all had more talent IMO), but they played well together, had good fundamentals, played smart, and had a QB that could make plays. the cowboys are almost like the opposite of the patriots. they have tons of talent that cant play well together, a QB that cant handle pressure and make plays, and they all make way too many dumb mistakes. its a shame that such a talented team wont succeed because of stupid mistakes. but oh well. im an eagles fan, so i shouldnt care that much, lol.
