Two San Antonio police officers are arrested and charged with stealing patio furniture.

On Friday, 26-year-old Carlos Salazar and 27-year-old Ildebrando Salazar, Jr. were both charged with theft, a Class-B misdemeanor. The two officers posted bail later in the day.

Investigators say the men stole the furniture from Sherlock's, a north side bar.

If convicted, they may have to pay a fine of up to $2,000, and spend 180 days in jail. The officers are two year veterans with SAPD, and are now on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Good. I in hate SAPD almost as much as I do San Marcos PD for arresting my friend for parking his car, turning it off, and sleeping in the back seat because he didn't want to drive home drunk. If they get a bad image in the media for something stupid like this this it's karma biting them in the ass.

If he was sleeping in the back seat, there is no way to prove that he had stuck the key in the ignition. SAPD are a bunch of crooked bullies.

I was at a house party last week standing on the front yard with some friends and strangers talking. Cops roll in trying to act hard, it was funny because for every thing they had to tell us we had a response that flawed their "power."

It was great seeing one of them turn red from being pissed off.

It is? I don't believe so... you have to be operating the vehicle to be DWI.

OK here's the down low on that story. Dude and me go to this party and it gets out at like 3am, I pass out at the host's house on the floor but Dude decides he wants to drive home. He gets like 4-5 blocks away from the party and pulls into Walmart and parks it, turns it off, hops into the back seat and crashes. Then around 5am he gets woken up by a pig banging on his door, and he gets jailed. I don't know what happened after that or how cops even found out, maybe Walmart security saw him and tipped em off. But it's pretty wack they arrest him for being safe when there's probably tons of other people in this town either drinking and driving for real.

You're right. it must not have been your buddy's day. He was caught. You can't catch everyone.

He should have stayed where you were at.

Yeah he's a real asshole for going 5 blocks before realizing he probably would've hit someone if he continued and parking it to sleep it off. Cops have better things to do than arrest ppl who are playing it safe, and he was given a ticket for PI not DUI. Why don't they ticket someone who is actually in the act of driving under the influence?

You know what.... WalMart probably called and 'complained'... what is the officer suppose to do? They have options- most of the time depends on how the person (your friend in this situation) acts. Sometimes- they don't have options.

He needs to take some action- if not, the person who 'comlained' will call in and complain on that officer.

    Again, not every gets caught.
