SpursTalk busting out game threads for worthless summer league

Not a bad start to the SL. Hill, Gist and Mahinmi all looked pretty good. This is Hariston's night tonight. He really needs to bounce back from the stinker he had last night if he wants to have a shot at making the team. I would also like to see Gist get more minutes and some more looks on the offensive end.
Says the Laker fan with nothing better to do than troll Spurs board and post in said summer league game threads.
We have a lot of new talent and potential to assess. Summer league means little...everyone knows this...but we have new faces that all have the possiblility of making the team. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with die hard fans that are even excited about the summer league. You probably don't know much about that, since you are a fan of a frachise that probably has the biggest contingency of fair weather basketball fans in existence.

We are excited to see our new, future stars, that will be joining the team. We don't care if the games don't count towards anything; excited to see potential Spurs players playing. Real bball fans watch all the games they can... pre-season, summer league, etc... heck I have been watching quite a few of these SL games via the internet.

Doesn't look like NO will have much to throw at George Hill. How Ian, Gist, and Hairston do against Hilton Armstrong and Julian Wright could be interesting though.
Holy the Spurs put a psychological ass whoopin on Suns fans. You need to hope that other teams beat us in the playoffs because you officially (after 4 recent ass kickings) can't even fathom the Suns beating us. That is too funny.
And by the way, the same Hornets team that you said would kill the Suns OR the Spurs last year is still trying to figure out how the oldest team in the league abused them in game 7. How did it happen ?

all we can hope for is for Ian to show some improvment in toughness and provide rebounding.....and hopefully Hill can continue to be a defensive ace and play smart...summer league is great for die hards b-ball fans like me and i don't mind anyone posting a thread about it...
alot of people go to summer league just to see players like lebron james and ian

I imagine Gist will play more tonight. He only had 18 minutes last night. I see Hill & Mahinmi playing around 30 minutes each. I hope Hairston rebounds from that awful shooting performance.
Not sure if I'll be able to watch the game tonight. I'll read this thread later though. Someone do some awesome play by play.
