Hmm, I thought he was still under contract with Kiev. Joining Partizan would save Washington the trouble of bringing him over now since they think staying in the Ukraine would stunt his development.

According to the rumors champion of Serbia BC Partizan shows interest to bring on 1 year loan Ukranian player Olexei Pecherov (212-C-85) who was chosen like 18th pick by Washington Wizards on the last NBA draft. Pecherov played last season in France for Paris Basket Racing in Pro A and in 22 games averaged 11.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg and 0.9 bpg. During the summer he played for Washington Wizards on Toshiba Vegas Summer League and also on Summer Pro League in Long Beach. Pecherov has one le of Ukranian Superleague with BC Kyiv and played on European Championship in Belgrade 2005.
