Sid Meier's Civilization

Ive been a fan of the Civ franchise for about 7 years now and it just seems like the games get better with every release, never dissapointed with a Civ game be it on PS or PC.
Anyone else addicted to this stuff?

i love this ... long time since i played it though... the last one was in space on some planet and you had to with flora & fauna... still hot but kind of weird.

I used to play part 3 a lot ... but all my cities always ended up looking the same... my incistence on having a highway loop go around my city cost too much to ever really enjoy it : (

everyone in my family played out Civ2 forever.


my fricken bro-in law was so addicted that before he got it, he played the demo and could get AEGIS cruiser's, nuclear destoryers and all sorts of on the freaking DEMO! I don't think it would even let you play up to A.D. on there.

#3 sucked sweaty monkey balls.

Haven't tried 4 yet, but Sid Meier is a gaming god in my opinion. Other than #3, every single game I have played with his name on it has rocked.

4 is actually the best one so far and the expansion for it is supposed to have all kinds of new . I was pretty opposed to the graphics changes in 4 at first but after playing the game it is definately better than the 2D units and cities. Theres so many new features in 4 and the online mode is actually playable and fun to play now, you should really check it out if you havent

I always find that in games where you build bases and such, that they always look the same for me. I never really got into the Civilization series, but I was into games like Empire Earth, Empires, Starcraft, Command & Conquer, Warcraft, etc.

They may look the same but the games you listed are more for the quick-play, hour long game and what not. I play SC, AOE3, and Warcraft but I like the Civ series because it offers so much up. Everything from economic management to religion and military and every game is different.
