What a downer. I was pumped but I'd rather see them at full strength than what the people in Houston saw. I remember I saw A Perfect Circle at Live Oak Civic center and Maynard had a BAD cold. He sounded like and kept his back to the audience the entire time.
They better reschedule or I am gonna be pissed!

Well Maynard having his back to the audience the entire time has nothing to do with him feeling ill.
He performs that way so if you do seem them at full strenght- expect the same thing.

Saw Tool in Calgary last month..amazing show and amazing stage effects. You'll understand what I'm saying once you see what they have in store for you. Simply cool and the the weed smoke filled up to the rafters....

Not true. I've seen them 7 times and he never had his back to the audience the whole show. Standing in the shadows, in the back near the drum kit yes but not with his back turned.
Anyway, looks like they will be back in early 2007.

First Kelly Clarkson and now this?
Tool in rocked the house. They opened up with Stinkfist, playing a slightly alternate version that still ruled all. After, Maynard was like, "fyi...i'm still sick..." and you could notice his voice wasn't on...luckily they had the vocals kinda distorted and more in the background the whole show, which was a good thing cuz you could hear Justin perfectly on pretty much every song.
They didn't have screens behind them so that kinda sucked. They had graphics on the lame tv screens in the center of the arena near the ceiling, and also on the floor where they were playing.
Encore was Aenima, Lateralus, and Vicarious. Lateralus was by far the best song they played, ing amazing.
On a side note, my girlfriend saw all the dallas stars banners and was like "What are those?" I was like "Dallas Stars championship banners." To which she replied, "where are all the mavericks banners?" Then I laughed my ass off.

Then after Vicarious Maynard was like "Manny you've changed"
Before the encore Maynard was like "I gotta piss, so we'll only sing half a song. Besides. I have to return some video tapes." (american psycho), then during Aenima when he's supposed to say "learn to swim...learn to swim" he kept sayin "gotta piss....gotta piss".
He kept saying 'this is the last song' before every song on the encore....Also before they actually played Wings for Marie/10000 days in full. It was hypnotic.
