Apparently the MRI revealed deep quadriceps bruise and bruised patella. He'll be ready for Sam Houston next saturday.

Now all we need to do is hope Selvin doesn't Selvin out on us this year again. He was having a pretty good year so far. Let's just see. Also the griffin brothers are still banged up...Michael was in an immobilizing boot towards the end of last game, and Marcus still didn't look up to speed.

    Injuries galore.

Haven't heard anything about Michael Griffin being injured. Are you sure it wasn't Marcus in the boot? He does have an ankle injury. Never heard anything about Michael...if you have an article, please share. I've been on the orangebloods message board and they have talked about Robison and Selvin but not Michael. Michael Griffin was in the game til the delay. Afterwards, I don't recall anyone who actually got to see the 4th quarter on tv when they resumed. I think you may be mistaken who you saw. If he was playing til the delay, then you wouldn't have seen him in a boot on the sideline. Unless by some miracle, you are the one in a million who got to see the 4th quarter.

Also, it is good news that Robison will be alright. He and Crowder dominate on the end.

Michael got hurt in Saturday's game. It wasn't serious, but yes he was hurt. I believe they both are playing with mild ankle injuries to be exact.

Per the Statesman, I read that Michael Griffin had a walking boot on after the game against Iowa St., but more just dinged up a little than anything serious. Injuries have definitely become more of an issue this year, thank God we have great depth. Both Marcus and Michael are banged up, Robison should be ok but I think they should hold him out until the ou game, Muckleroy just had sugery on his finger and will be out for a month, Selvin injures his ribs, the list goes on and on.

On the plus side, some younger guys are getting playing experience which should help us with the conference schedule. Deon Beasley was out there playing CB and looked pretty damn solid, C. Brown and R. Joseph have also gotten PT in the secondary as true freshman. Saw A. Lewis (DE) playing well on Saturday, also L. Houston and B. Orakpo played some solid time at the DE spot. I was also really glad to see Drew Kelson back on the field against Iowa St., he should be back in his starting position pretty soon. My main hope against Sam Houston St. is that we just stay as healthy as possible, don't play guys that are healing up and give the backups plenty of PT. We could bascially play our 3rd team against these guys and roll them, so save bodies for the ou game!

That OU game is gonna be interesting... the one game a year I can see live since it's in Dallas.

Yes it was michael...missallthat knows whats up. Those true freshmen getting time in the secondary is a testament to how badly our primary backup CB's suck
like the one who covered for T Brown in the ohio state game.

McCoy is starting to look better and better, so it is becoming more obvious that if we lose another game this season it's gonna be because of the secondary.

even jamaaal got banged up a little on sat.- aaron ross is a great corner and excellent return man, but he got straight clowned on by blythe... I wouldnt play marcus g, selvin or robison against SHS, too risky... kelson, muckleroy, michael g and jamaal should be good to play a quarter and a half or so. I'll call it melton will have 3 tds

I think it is flat out pathetic that UT plays a AA school like SHS, but since we are, I'm with mookie...use our starters for the first quarter, then go to the Melton offense and just wear them down.

It's the perfect time to have this game because afterwards we get OU, @Neb and @Tech in 3 of the next 4. Not an easy stretch, mainly since they are on the road.

I never got to see the 4th quarter. Because when I was watching the game Michael Griffin was still playing.

I don't know about San Antonio, but here they aren't showing the Longhorn game this weekend. I know they're more than likely gonna smoke SHS like a brisket, but I'd still like to see it.

SHS is loving these games. Ya they lose, but they get half of the gate money.

I am in San Marcos but I don't know if I will be able to watch because I have to work unless I take off Saturday.

Michael played after he got injured, which I believe was sometime in the 3rd. I think the order for the guys going down on Sat was Selvin, Limas, Brian, Michael, and then JC. Michael and are likethis (well maybe not, but I do see him often and yes he does have a mild sprain). His brother Marcus got injured in the Ohio State game, also an ankle injury. As for Brian, I'll find out more about this tomorrow by asking Frank or something.

Are these injuries or just ailments? I know Sweed looked like he just fell on the ball and got the wind knocked out of him. hurts for several minutes, but not for that long. I think Robison and Selvin are the ones who are injured. The Griffins - are they suffering from a nagging ankle tweak or an actual injury? If it's an injury they wont be able to play...

^ Just a reminder, the game this Saturday will not be televised on regular tv, it will be available on pay-per-view for $29.95. For that amount you could probably just show up to the game and find a scalped ticket for less. On the injury front, from what I've read/heard, everyone should be good to go by the time of the ou game with the exception of Muckleroy.

isn't this the 12th game they had to add? no coach wanted that extra game added, you pretty much have to schedule filler.

^ UT tried to schedule a 1A team, but the 1A teams that were out there were asking for too much money to play just a home game against UT. I think the last time we played a 1A team was 1992-93, beat North Texas St. when they were 1A, it was actually a fairly close game, of course UT was nearly as good back then. I've read quotes from Mack indicating that this was a last minute thing and that he doesn't plan to schedule any 1A teams from here on out. Just keep in mind that Sam Houston St. LOST to SMU 45-14, this thing could get really ugly. I'm just wondering what the the spread will be on this game? 55, maybe even 60 points?
