Go Brees!
The Saints are marching in!
Eagles running game =![]()
please don't pull a jimcs50 here and jinx it.
Chris,
We would like you to shut up.
Sincerely,
The fans of the other NFC East teams
God, I can't wait for the end of the afternoon games so I can change this god-awful sig.
What a great day! The Beagles and the Porkskins lose while Dallas wins big! Good luck with that running game fellas.
the Saints are awesome. and again, Brees is the most underrated QB in the league. 5-1 baby!
Sorry no respect for the Saints, yeah they won, but that muffed punt and that bull 12 man on penalty did it to us, the Saints won't go far in the playoffs, personally I hope to see them in the playoffs.
...i guess you forget about all the mistakes and penalties the Saints made to stall drives...or the dropped pass that led to an interception for the Eagles.
fact is, the Saints won...and you can say whatever you want, but the Saints could have easily dropped another 10-14 points on you....oh yeah, and you lost.
i hope to see you in the playoffs as well. and a word of advice to McNabb (who happens to be the best QB at the moment), maybe he should take a page from Brees and spread the wealth. McNabb's only weakness is that he falls in love with receivers each week and looks their way over and over...leading to broken up passes, interceptions, overthrows, and throw-a-ways.
how was the 12 man penalty bull ?
Eagles started out flat and made too many mistakes. Plain and simple. I was afraid there might be a bit of a letdown after the big win over the Cowboys, but still figured the Eagles would win a close one.
Chris. I know a lot of you Cowboys fans are still pissed about last week, but you're stretching with the running-game smack. I guess you haven't paid much attention to the Eagles the past several years. Andy Reid has never tried to establish a legitimate running game in Philly. He has always been a pass-first coach. Not sure why you think it's going to be a problem now. In todays NFL you move the ball the best way you can and hope your D holds. Our best chance of moving the ball lies with McNabb. What we need are some recievers who won't drop catchable passes and someone to replace Michael Lewis in the secondary.
there were a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes by the eagles that wont happen again. the eagles are definitely a better team. they played like crap, and still nearly won. the saints played incredible all game, and barely won. wont happen again.
So...if your team wins, you demand respect but if the other team wins..they don't get respect from you. Very sportsmanlike. Eagles should have killed NO but they made too many mistakes and the Saints capitalized as they should have.Sorry no respect for the Saints, yeah they won, but that muffed punt and that bull 12 man on penalty did it to us, the Saints won't go far in the playoffs, personally I hope to see them in the playoffs.
FWIW....McNabb is still my choice for MVP and the Eagles are still solid....The NFC East is going to go down to the wire with everyone still having a shot, IMO.

its like:
1. some of you did not even watch the game, or
2. only look at it from the Eagles perspective
...the Saints were far from perfect and were not playing well the entire 3rd quarter, but when they needed it they marched down the field and scored 10 points in the fourth to win. both teams had their moments of shotty play....but the Saints found a way to get it done when they had to...the eagles did not. right now the Saints are better than the Eagles and probably the 6th or 7th best team in the NFL right now.
1.a. Bears
1.b. Chargers
3. Broncos
4. Panthers
5. Patriots
6. Seahawks
7. Saints
well the only problem with not having a running game is that the other team isn't out of it when the eagles go up. philly would probably have a ring recently if they were capable of grinding clock in the second half. they have had a great defense for years, but even the best get tired from being out on the field too long because the offense isn't eating up the clock when they're up.
Right now it's a tossup between LT and Mcnabb
What the are you talking about? McNabb has completed passes to at least 7 different targets in every game this year.McNabb's only weakness is that he falls in love with receivers each week and looks their way over and over...leading to broken up passes, interceptions, overthrows, and throw-a-ways.
Up until the Saints game this is what he's thrown.
Throws/completions
Brown: 33/15
LJ Smith: 27/20
Stallworth: 23/12
Westbrook: 30/20
Lewis: 15/11
Baskett: 14/7
Buckhalter: 6/6
Tapeh: 8/6
Schoebel: 6/4
Mahe: 3/3
Avant: 2/1
Moats: 1/0
...i am talking on a per game basis and on strings of series.
the Saints had 2 pics. How is that playing inrcedible all game??
