Dish sucks. And they're partners with at&t anyways, so you might have some of the same problems.
I'd go with DirectTV if I were you...
Anyone have their cable service? They've been having so many probelms that we finally cancelled their service and are going to try Dish Network. They must have known we were thinking about cancelling because they started kissing our ass with all this free stuff. They sent some ice cream bowls and an ice cream scooper, then some free ice cream coupons.They even sent us free Spurs tickets! Too bad the service really sucks.. time to see what Dish is like.

Ehh, my sister just down the block has had Dish for a while now and never had a problem with it... hopefully it works out that way.

I just wish they had NFL Sunday Ticket, but other then that I have been 100000% happy with them.
Hey they finished installing and it looks cool. Gino was actually calm around the guys until one of them started messing with him (while he had a bone) and he went crazy!

Yeah, he noticed Gino is all bark and no bite so he started staring him down and then went after Gino while he had his bone.. it was hilarious! I've never heard Gino bark like that... it was all high pitched, he sounded scared.

They do...That's why this thread is kind of funny.
I didn't even know at&t used Dish Network but when those guys were installing it, I was telling them about U-Verse and they were pretty much agreeing & saying they've never heard anything good about it... it must be different.
And with U-verse we never had a satellite on our roof.
Yeah, it has to be different then, but I'm not sure exactly how U-verse works. I know that SBC and now AT&T provided satellite service through Dish Network, so I figured Dish provided their "cable" service for U-verse.
Hope it works well for you. I've had Dish in the past and it always worked well for me. My mom currently uses them as her provider and she has no problems
On the other hand, they came out and put in our Time Warner today. They screwed up our channel lineup, they brought the wrong HD box, and they didn't bring me an HDMI cable as I requested. Such a great start to the service..
U-Verse is fiber-optic. No dish.
Right now U-Verse is in its testing phase which is why it's screwing up so bad.
As for Dish Network, AT&T owns part of it. How that happened is that SBC tried to buy DirecTV a couple of years ago but failed, so they bought like 30 percent of Dish.
Are they laying new lines or are they using ATT&T lines? I wasnt' aware that they had enough bandwidth to cover cable too, but thats pretty damn impressive.
Hey, so is this service you guys are talking about the same as their "HOME ZONE" service?
They are dropping tons of fiber all over my neighborhood to add extra services. I'm sure they are doing this all over the place.
fiber optic makes for awesome upload bandwidth ethernet. they rolled that out on the east coast a few years back - i think it was called OptOnline. they don't care if you run servers.
i have uverse...yeah, we've had problems, but as buddyholly said, they are still in their testing phase... load of channels, low price, i like it... that is why they had the 15 a month for the fist 3 months..
