Last year I'd say it was the Central Division, but the Southwest is making a name for itself. Already San Antonio and Dallas are great, but Houston and New Orleans are looking good. Memphis is only struggling so bad because of Pau out, but if he wasn't injured for the first 3 months or whatever, the Grizz would be a lot stronger.

I definitely agree with you. No other division is as strong as the southwest, I wouldn't be surprised if 4 out of the 5 make it to the playoffs this season...GO SPURS GO...

Clearly, everyone but Memphis will make the playoffs in that division. But so far the best team isnt form the southwest.(Utah;10-1)

Combined records of divisions as of Wednesday.

    Northwest:38-25
    Pacific:30-20
    Southwest:33-22

Last year it was the central?? what are you smoking?? The Southwest division has been the powerhouse for a couple of years now. Last year, central had Detroit, and THATS IT.

The central division at some point last year had 5 of the 8 playoffs seeds in the east... i'm not saying that means it's a powerhouse... powerhouse and eastern conference are an oxymoron... just that it was a pretty good division. southwest has been the power conference since portland and sac went down the ter.
