7 out of 9. Not too shabby. I just watched a few of the fights on youtube. Nick Diaz's gogoplata was the smoothest thing I've ever seen.

What a solid night of fights...one of the more shocking and exciting PPV cards in quite some time. If you didn't order it, stream it live for free, or DL the fights, you missed out...

Trigg was somewhat boring but dominating. Misaki was highly over-rated after his tainted WW tourny win IMO.

Do you think Wiuff was a little surprised by the "nobody" that stepped in for Nak? He got knocked down, hit with a knee, almost kimura'd, and then g-choke'd all within 30 seconds...damn.

Sakurai - Danzig was very entertaining...I'd hate to know how Danzig's legs are feeling after the viscious leg kicks he was eating. A good effort, but Sakurai is an elite LW...

Shogun was Shogun...you know he wanted to bust out some stomps on Overeem, but he adjusted well diving thru upkicks and landing a huge shot. How the does Overeem get down to 205 lbs?? I just can't comprehend how he ever weighs in at that...

Lil Nog getting KO'd like that is definitely the biggest upset EVER based on odds ( , even not based on odds). Surely it was just a fluke...if not, whatever his name was might just be the next big thing Nog just got caught IMO...it happens...like Randleman catching Crocop. Nog will be back.

Diaz with a gogoplata to finish Gomi?

1. AWESOME fight...very entertaining...as expected...

2. But WTF was Gomi doing? That was one of the weirdest fights I've seen. Was Gomi out on his feet for the last min or 2 of the first round? He looked gas'd and he was just acting weird...hands down just taking punches. It's beyond me how he could be spent after a few min's.

3. Diaz is fortunate he finished when he did because he wasn't going to be able to take too many more punches due to that cut. He definitely got a taste of Gomi's power...he rarely gets knocked down like he did in the first, and the straight right that opened up his cheek was viscious.

4. I look fwd to Gomi vs Diaz for the le in Japan Those that think that was the best Gomi has got (probably the first time that many of the $hit talkers have even seen him fight ) will be surprised what he does when the real Gomi is in the ring. He dominated Nick until he gas'd and Nick couldn't knock him out with him just standing in front of him. Props to Nick though...he's a tough dude and he always brings it.

and I think Wand might be done, whether he was sick or not, he chose to fight...he certainly didn't have it on Saturday. Dan fought a great fight...can't take that from him. He also broke his hand in the 1st round!!

I'm kinda glad Wand lost actually. Now Shogun can get a le shot, and maybe we'll get to see Wand vs Chuck finally? What does Wand / Pride have to lose now?? If not, maybe Shogun vs Chuck, which is what I've wanted all along instead of Wand...

and props to Pride for cranking thru 9 live fights in a little over 3 hrs. Very little BS and no 30 min intermission like they did at Real Deal. That PPV was truly worth the $40.

I have found many Pride events to be somewhat boring, but I have to say that this one was one of the most exciting. Diaz- Gomi was unreal. Yeah, Gomi was acting very strange. Was he just ing with Nick? Win or lose, Nick isn't someone to joke around with in the ring. He loves the talking and brawling. ing sick subs too.

Dan is the man, and his African protege shocked the world. Team Quest!!!

LOL at Barnett for getting pissed at Russow, and Trigg bringing him back down to earth.

Is he saying that he was sick?

He was supposedly in the hospital with a 104* fever Friday night. The NSAC had to approve some antibiotics for him, so it should be do ented and public info. I'm sure it'll come out soon if it's true. He obviously wasn't himself, whether or not it was due to some illness is the question.

It's still not an excuse...he chose to fight and lost. He wasn't making excuses in his interview with Gross. Gross actually asked him about it as one of his first questions because the rumors had been going around even before the fight...
