My grandma's house.
I just bought some at Culebra Meat Market, and they're pretty damn good.
My "go to" place has usually been Delicious, but I'm always open to suggestions. What's your favorite place?
My grandma's house.
yummmm
abuelita.
the best kind.
ventura's in victoria.
delicous tamales have to be the WORST in the city...they're disgusting.....you need to go to Tellez.....they are the BEST
Oh hush...they're not disgusting!
Where is Tellez?
I am going to go to this Culebra meat Market. Has anyone been to the one on De Zavala/Bab ?
My boyfriend's Mom makes the best tamales EVER. She makes green and red tamales. Also when you reheat them they are still fresh and moist. Hers are the best, I've tried MANY MANY homemade tamales and none are on the level of hers!!!!
I've only been to the Culebra on Nacogdoches and the one on Bab and Hillcrest.
I know a couple of the owners. They got a lot of $$$$.
I miss the little old lady who sells tamales door-to-door in my old neighborhood. Those were the best.
my grandma/mother/aunt's make the best i've ever had. and you all for making me crave some now.
You people can't possibly know great tamales because you haven't had mine!![]()
It looks like I'm gonna have to get to know all these posters whose aunts, grandmothers, cousins, etc make the best in order to taste them!
Christmas GTG?
I only honestly eat tamales around the holidays.
Not a bad idea!
I normally only do as well, but lately have craved tamales.
We went to Culebra last night to get steaks and the tamale smell hit me right when we walked in the door...I HAD to get some!
I'll bring the slice 'n bake cookies!
I'll bring the Chex party mix...lol
I'll bring some of my mom's bunuelos.
Rubens
I'll bring the egg nog which is homemade and not that nasty store bought stuff.![]()
I've heard this from other people too, so they must be good.
Anyone here old enough to remember Goa's Tamales on Bandera Rd?
