Lion & Rose Pub at Blanco and Loop 410 is close by.
Hey everyone, I am moving to SA first week of Jan. Was wondering if anyone could recommend any cool pubs/bars, or resturants in the Castle Hillls/ NW Miltary Rd. area.
Lion & Rose Pub at Blanco and Loop 410 is close by.
Wish we knew somebody with a web site that had this kind of information.
I did look at that site....thanks for the heads up
check out the Week-ender in thursdays paper. that gives you various happenings around town. you may even get brave and venture downtown......
we dont need outsiders like you in this town.
GO WHERE YOU ARE WANTED, AND THATS NOT HERE.
Gee thanks for the welcome Haterade!![]()
I went to school on NW Military in Castle Hills. Methinks you'll have to drive a little bit out of CH to find cool stuff.
Of course they would put a cool pub on Blanco after I leave.
Taipei in Castle Hills is good. You will often find TD at the location in Stone Oak.

Welcome to S.A. too.
first, who would want or volunteer for SA duty? that. the only other texas city i would move to is either dallas or h town.
You would want to live in Houston?
Houston is a hole. Dallas isn't much better.
Spoken like a person who has never really bean to houston or dallas.(or San Antonio for that matter)![]()
Exactly.
Houston and Dallas are nice to vist...but SA is a much friendlier city. I am being transfered for work. Thanks to everyone for your responses. Much appreciated.
You've chosen the best place in TX, so no worries.
Seeing how San Antonio is the third fastest growing city in the country and the third fastest growing metro in Texas (sadly behind Dallas and Houston) the answer to your piteous question is... many.
Houston ing sux, it;s the biggest holeI have ever had the displeasure of staying in.
Congrats on your transfer and welcome to San Antonio.
Bourbon St cafe near NW Military and Lockhilll intersection is good for lunch.... Theres a yummy indian place down Blanco near Oblate..... and Goomba's (ehhh. mixed reviews from most people) is on Blanco near the lockhill intersection.

Don't fear, I am here.

wrong on all accounts, nice assumption though. i've been to all cities mentioned, and san antonio is nothing to write home about. hate to say it, but most stereotypes of san antonio are true and justified.
