Nah they're just like the Sonics 2 years ago. They're having a nice season so far but it won't last.
After an impressive victory against the mavs and a solid record, are they the real deal this season? Do you think their success will last the tests of a season? they're certainly playing some good ball right now.
Nah they're just like the Sonics 2 years ago. They're having a nice season so far but it won't last.
If they have an injury to their big 3, then they're done. And someone will figure out a way to keep Boozer from averaging 20 and 12
Hard to say at this point. They've beaten just about every great team in the league already, but the season is still young.
Disagree. They are a really deep team.
Kirilenko has missed 5 games this year because of an ankle sprain, re : 5W.
"keep Boozer from averaging 20 and 12"
At 6'9" and a muscular 270, with a good nose for the ball and great positioning, he's pretty much unstoppable on the boards.
And he's got a wide variety of well-selected shots, made this season at 57%.
No one player is going to stop him. And I haven't seen anybody bother to double him, yet.
The Jazz and the Lakers are surprise serious contenders for top ranks in WC this season. I think will win their divisions. (Weird schedule, Lakers and Suns play each other 3 times in Mar/Apr.)
one should double boozer then one could see how good jazz are
They are an athletic, consistent jump-shooting 2-guard away from being a legit contender for the le this season.
What do they need to be for real? win the le? PLEASE...They are clearly for real. Just look at the talent they have.
You don't beat the suns twice, spurs and mavs but not being for real.
Good Point.
How good can the Jazz possibly be if they can't beat the Timberwolves?![]()
how good can the spurs be if they lost to the Bobcats?
same thing with Spurs AND Mavs
i saw them play for the first time this year last night and they look pretty scary. i know the season is young, but they steamrolled last night. i won't be taking them lightly this year.
I was also very impressed. I realize that the Mavs don't matchup well with Boozer (Damp & Diop are too slow and Dirk is too weak) but they have a lot of talent and are very well coached. I think they need another good outside shooter to be a legit contender in the west though. They play really hard so you better be ready to play just as hard to beat them. The problem is that most teams aren't willing to do that during the regular season (in their house at least).
One of Carlos's best features is his head, he plays very cool, ice cold, very intelligent, takes his time, very controlled, let's he and game come to each other.
No balla bombastic bull as he kills you.
If he runs out his career like he's playing this year, he's HoF.
And injury to Nash, the Suns are done - I think they can get by without Amare, Marion, or Diaw for short stretches if necessary, but Nash is the most important.
Utah looks good, but in the NBA you just never see a team go from nowhere to champions. Utah doesn't have the playoff experience to get there this year. Fisher, Harpring, and Okur are the only players on that team to go to the playoffs, and Harpring only played one series 5 years ago with Philly. I just can't see them being able to produce the same results when the intensity really starts picking up in March and after, seeing they haven't been there before.
only problem is that Utah has always been one of the best passing teams in the league. we tried it a couple of times last night, only to give up wide open makes
speaking of, deron williams reminds me of the Jet with his pull up jumpers
This is definitely true as teams have to learn how to win in the playoffs since it's such a different level from the regular season. From what I've seen, Sloan has those guys playing as hard as they can most nights and they really don't have another level like the Spurs, Mavs & Suns do.
The Jazz, just like the Suns, are teams that can light it up in the regular season, but the Spurs and the Mavs are the real deal that will win championships...well, at least the Spurs.
You base this on what? past success? If so then yeah I see your point. You have to prove yourselves in the playoffs. Jazz though should be good enough for the playoff type series. They are big, they rebound, they have a good PG, SF, PF and C...they have a great coach and play good defence. Alot like the Pistons over the past few years
They are a young team and may need a year or two to get more experience but I tell you in a few years they will be the favourites for many years to come if they keep that team togeather. All they need is a above average SG and they could be almost impossible to beat.
I talked to one of a Utah Jazz season ticket holder fan and rumors that Utah want to trade Kirilenko for a shooting guard...its because of they have Millsap now....
