But it's a Dairy Queen and if you're in Texas (like I'm assuming), the drive should be about 15 minutes for the next one.

When my mom was pregnant with me (1979-80), there was no McDonald's in Uvalde until right around the time I was born. Well, before that, when she would crave some McDonald's, she and my dad would drive to Del Rio for the nearest one.
That's like a 30-45 minute ride.
