it just looks like he was playing distributor the whole night... but the lack of rebounds for 33 mins played is quite eye catching.
Boris Diaw against the Blazers:
Min 33
FG 0-3
Pts 0
Reb 0
Ast 8
TO 2
I've never seen anything like that before.

Oh, come on, it's not like this one
Madsen, Mark: 30 MIN, 2 PTS, 1-15 FG, 0-7 3PT, 0-2 FT, 4 REB, 1 AST, 1 TO, 3 FOUL
I'm sure there have been hundreds of scoreless performances by point guards that look kind of like that.
0 points AND 0 rebs in 33 minutes is almost impossible. Safe to say nobody 6'8" has ever had a line like that.
didn't that madsen line come last year when the clips and grizz met on the last game of the season?
When the Pups were tanking to get ... uh, Randy Foye? Yes.
I'm certain a 6-8 player has managed a 0&0 in 30+ minutes before. In fact, I'm certain that a player now in the NBA has managed it - a poor rebounder like Bruce Bowen or Tayshaun Prince, perhaps? Stephen Jackson? Peja? Brian Scalabrine? One of the Collins twins? Uncle Cliffy? , wasn't one of the Pistons fans gloating about Ben Wallace putting up 0&0 earlier this season?
the thing about the boxscore is that he had 8 helpers... which is indicative of somebody being active in the offense ... i guess that's why he finds it so hard to believe that he didn't score... but the guy did shoot the ball 3x... so it's not like he wsa shooting for such an odd bs.
Wasn't Rashweed something like 0/14 from the field one time?
Even if this box score is weird, Diaw not scoring and not rebounding a lot isn't a big surprise. Diaw isn't an aggresive score and this year he is surrounded with great scorers (Stoudamire, Barbosa...) : he doesn't take a lot of shots. With Stoudamire and Kurt Thomas back, Diaw don't play PF/C this year : he grabs less boards.
What?What about Barry's 22 billion effort?
I think he was gonna have like 6 pts, 6 assts, 6 rebs or something.
I dunno. I think that Dennis Rodman, Manute Bol, and Muggsy Bogues have the records for wierdest stat lines of all time.
If Rodman played 30 minutes, he'd have 0 points and 18 rebounds.
If Manute played 30 minutes, he'd have 0 points and 7 blocks.
If Muggsy played 30 minutes he'd have 0 points and 12 assists.
They'd have games like that ALL THE TIME. I guess it's just playing to your niche' and taking only what the game gives you?![]()
Not that surprising in my opinion. I've seen stranger lines. Damn, Phoenix is good though. They are the favorite to win the le now imo.
Ben Wallace had 0 points and 27 rebounds in one game this year
But has he ever had 0 points and 0 rebounds in over 30 minutes?
just cuz they beat your team last night and got over the hump (read: pile of that is your team) doesn't make them the favorites
haha, just kidding!!!! don't get mad or i'll have to post that cam'ron video![]()
At home, in the playoffs against his former team in a must-win game.
That'd be hard to top.
You guys have too good of memories. Remind me never to do anything embarrasing in front of any of you.![]()
I don't get how it's so weird...it's the Suns. They're an offensive team, more likely than not they probably shot a high percentage and didn't have that many misses....
EDIT: Just checked the boxscore, Suns scored 50+% from the field and 3 point land and totaled less than 40 rebounds for the whole game. It is odd that he didn't get even one rebound, but considering it's the Suns style of basketball, I'm sure it wasn't the first time it happened.

I think it was last year, where Rip Hamilton led the Pistons in scoring in one game in which he made 0 field goals. He had something like 12 pts all on free throws, and those 12 pts led the team in scoring for that game.
That was a pretty weird stat as well.
, Jacque Vaugh against the Hornets the other day
19 minutes, 4 points, 11 assists
When Nash was on the bench in that game (which was a lot, since Nash only played 28 mins), Diaw really started playing guard along with Barbosa. Diaw spent a lot of time on the perimeter and rarely looked for his shot while trying to get Barbosa, Kurt Thomas and Jumaine Jones involved. I really hope he used this 0 reb game to save up a 20 rebound performance against Dallas because they're gonna need it with Dampier, Diop, and Howard crashing the boards....
