    from what I've read, you've got it right. If it's just a few months, it should be okay, but if it's a few years, I'd toss.

    its an anti-inflammatory drug. I sprained my ankle and last time i did it the doc gave this to me and it helped a lot. I'm going out of town tomorrow and won't have a chance to see her for awhile. the pills are about a yr and half old.

    An NSAID like piroxicam should't be toxic after the expiration date but the effectiveness will be diminished to some degree.
