    apparently:

    1. Chow has been interviewed by Arizona and is a front runner for the job...can you blame him? he probably wants to work with a real QB...ha ha j/k. obviously, there are many factors involved...

    2. Wayne Huizenga flew to (Puerto Rico?) or some place and popped in to see Pete Carroll....offered him complete control and whatnot...

    ...my thoughts:

    1. i think if Chow is offered the job he should take it, once the offensive line is shored up in 'Zona that would be a great offense with a QB Chow knows

    2. i understand if Carroll leaves, but at the same time i don't think there is a better place for him than Southern Cal...he has a chance to continue setting records and possibly set himself as one of, if not the best coach in CFB history. if he leaves...USC will still be good, but damn that will be a hit on the program...i wonder if Chow would come back and take the head spot....but i am getting WAAAAAY ahead of myself. please stay Carroll...

(the news is from John Clayton, sorry no links)

I could see Chow in AZ but why would Carroll want to leave? His team next year could win the Pac-10, NC and NFC West!

Pete Carroll is in the perfect spot for a coach. He is at a great program which takes care of him and his players and has been and will continue to be in the NC hunt for years to come.

, i agree. but its easy for SC fans to get nervous when all these darn coaches are leaving for the NFL...especially ones you thought wouldn't like Petrino.

Pete knows there are possible impending sanctions for SC in the wake of the Bush home.

I hope Carroll goes to the fins. The Beavs win the Pac-10 next year if he does.

no, but it opens the door in a few years. that being said, what i think was said on Cold Pizza...Pete Carroll is perfect at USC and has a chance to be one of the best coaches of all time. i think he'll stay, but i don't like that he, apparently, talked to Wayne. whats up with that?

i also don't see why anyone would want to coach for bidwell, he is the NFL's worst owner.

You would think Pete Carroll learned his NFL lesson when he bombed in NE.

Or it made him now all that much more hungry to succeed in the NFL at some time in the future, which may be now. You never know how some people react to failure, and seeing the kind of guy Carroll is, I'd say the failure motivated him to prove to himself he can succeed in the NFL. The guy's a winner, and winners don't accept failing without coming back to try harder.

Money talks, bull walks. Having a chance at being one of the greatest NCAA coaches ever (and I did not enjoy typing that) in a huge media market with no NFL team at a private college is something that most coaches would kill for. Then again, if Huizenga offers to make Carroll the first $10 million a year coach in the NFL, how can he turn down that kind of money?

If I were Carroll I'd stay.

For one thing, I'd much rather live in Los Angeles than Miami, thats for damn sure.

You can't turn that kind of $$ down.
It won't happen though. Petey Boy wasn't exactly a success with the big boys, he's better off coaching the kids in college.

Chow, well, he obviously has the best QB from this yr's draft so why is he going to go back to Dead Arm Matt who gets an MRI when the wind blows too hard?

Wouldn't you want the NCAA to know if UT beat you by not playing by the rules?

Name one thing OSU has done wrong.

...answer is no, b/c i think every university does the same thing...and that is flirt with the edges of breaking NCAA rules and sometimes sliding a toe over. there haven't really been any huge NCAA violations in quite some time and i think thats b/c everyone does about the same thing.

osu? i am sure i don't know. honestly, i don't keep up with schools in that way...i follow sports. but i guarantee you osu is not perfectly clean...nobody is. and most of the time it has nothing to do with the coaching staff....whom, somehow, always gets the blame.
