notable: Fedor says about crocop rematch: "It's up to Crocop now, we fought once already, and should have fought at NYE 2006, I was ready, but he went to UFC, so for now our rematch is postponed."

He signed with Pride for a little longer (didn't specify) but will LIKELY fight outside of Pride once (ie, Bodogfight vs Lindland, although they're not confirming that), possibly vs. Rulan Gardner (one of the Pride US shows), and possibly in the Combat Sambo world Championships.

Here's a little more info about this kid...

Fedor has personally trained him for the last year or so and says that if he keeps it up, he may be able to "walk in Fedor's shoes"

He just won the first prize in the Junior Russia Combat Sambo Championship (where Fedor's youngest brother Ivan came in 3rd.)

That kid has a tough russian mullet. Pretty impressive for an 18 year old kid.

What's up with Roman fighting that little guy? Is it just me or did that guy look way smaller than Roman?

The combat sambo video was very cool. I've never seen footage of combat sambo so I didn't realize that they incorporated so many kicks in that style. Thanks for posting.

and for this Russia vs Korea event it could've been that there wasn't a better matchup for him. He shouldn't have been fighting in that show at all IMO. He needs to showcased more in Pride...

Yea, Combat Sambo isn't really much different than what you get with UFC, Pride, WEC, etc. Fedor had a match right before one of his Pride fights (Coleman in Vegas) which was surprising because it was full on punching, etc. I guess it's in his Pride contract to be allowed to do that...
