I just watched this film last night for the first time. I should have just bought the DVD rather than renting it. This movie is simply magnificent.
it was good, but it is more than a tad overrated.
The Departed is definitely a good movie...I sat through the 2.5 hours of it without a problem.

My roommate did the same thing, but he also has ADD.
I thought the movie was really good, I especially liked all of the head shots... specifically the surprise towards the end. It wasn't much of a surprise to me because the movie "infernal affairs" had the same plot line.

thing i don't understand...its not like the movie was even hard to follow or understand. people are acting like it was a thinking movie. far from it.
