the lights above the audience are like dimmed
like they have it at the MSG
During the Magic/Kareem Era and when the Lakers games were held in the Forum, the crowd was dimmed out and all lights were on stage. I think it's kinda like personifying Hollywood's buisness - acting/performace arts/movies. Lights fixed towards center stage while the audience is in the dark.
That sounds accurate lets leave it at that.

I've always liked the dimmed the lights. One of the things I missed from the Forum. I like that they're bringing it back because the Forum had character and Staples is a POS cookie-cutter arena built to make money and give the stars nice seats.
