So I'm looking for some information about the hiring of a baseball coach in Corpus (husband of a co-worker of my mom's) and I find this.

Two videos at that link. The first is uncut from the arena's cameras, the second is the news report.

CORPUS CHRISTI - No matter how their rosters change, the Rayz and the Laredo Bucks never have gotten along. After Sunday night's game, they may never be civil again.

Their longtime rivalry got ugly at the American Bank Center. With the top two teams in the CHL's southern conference meeting up, you knew the tensions would be high, but nobody expected a night like this.

Laredo's Kris Mallette touched off a brawl for the record books. He goes after Rayz forward Jason Baird, setting off a chain reaction all around the rink. Both benches get involved in this one and more than a 100 penalty minutes are assessed. Keep in mind this all comes on Rayz Family Day.

Several players ejected from this one and after the dust settles the Rayz found themselves down 3-1 to the best team in the league. But the story doesn't end there. Easily one of the most exciting finishes to a game in Corpus Christi, in any sport.

"I've went into someone else's bench before but I've never had someone come after me in the penalty box like that before. I don't know what's going to happen. Hopefully, we'll get away with some of it and not have any major suspensions. But I don't know what the league is going to do after that," said Rayz forward Jason Baird.

"One of their guys was trying to get in the penalty box after our goal scorer. Our guys at the bench had a few words for him and the guy ended up jumping toward our bench. A big melee started and I thought, 'Might as well get into it'." said Rayz goalie Ron Vogel.

Things would get worse for the Rayz, down 4-1 in the third, Coach Ken McRae blows his stack at the officials. He throws everything he can find onto the ice, and he'd had to watch the rest from his office.

At that point things just got better. The Rayz scored three goals in the final seven minutes of the game to force overtime. After a scoreless overtime, the Rayz scored in the seventh round of a shootout to complete the remarkable comeback.
