He tested positive for roids after he won the UFC HW le...then he fought in Pancrase and NJPW before ending up in Pride for the past couple years...
whyd he leave the ufc? he would dominate.

Where exactly in my reply did I try to justify the use of steroids??
If hes taking steroids i dont want him in the UFC. pride can have him, another reason UFC is better...btw...while were on this subject what happened to mark coleman and pedro rizzo, whyd they leave?
Who said Barnett is taking steroids now??
Coleman most likely IS taking roids...he's been in Pride since 1999.
Rizzo went to Pride in 2005 (lost twice in his 2 fights there) then signed with the WFA but never fought with them. UFC just bought WFA, so I guess he's technically in the UFC (although I've yet to see his name mentioned in any of the contractual buyout stuff). I don't remember if he left for more money or what...
After looking unstoppable for some time, Coleman racked up 3 losses in a row in UFC and subsequently ended up in Japan. I'm not sure why Rizzo went to Pride though.
Whoops!! Alves tests positive for banned substance after UFC 66...

Sucks...I really like that guy!!
So as I was saying, Mr Dio, there are people in the UFC that push their luck and cycle on and off. It's not like they'll get a surprise test...they know they can only get tested after a fight...

Find where I posted that all the UFC was steroid clean?![]()
Find where I said all of MMA was clean?![]()
Was this substance the same as what the pride fighters have popped for? A water pill?
It'd be nice to compare apples to apples as well.
Look at the # of "highly ranked" pride fighters that have popped vs the # of say, the UFC for example.![]()
So what happens to the official status of his fight with DeSouza? No contest?
that would be cheap if he still got counted for a loss.
Doesn't matter...it's a BANNED SUBSTANCE. What he got caught for can also be used to mask steroids...
Bottom line...you keep talking trash about Pride's "steroid monkey's" anytime Pride fighters are mentioned here and I told you that it's going on in the UFC too but they're pretty good at dodging the tests. This just backs what I said...
Ok, we'll make a list...I'm not doing "highly ranked" fighters...because there really aren't that many for either org.
Pride:
Barnett (while in the UFC)
Vitor
Nastula
Randleman
UFC:
Marquardt
Sylvia
Bonnar
Alves
WFA:
Kimo Leopoldo
Ok...I'll let you keep going from there...list off some more...
Keep in mind that Pride will be doing 3-4 shows in the US this year, so they will be tested by the NSAC then...
Maybe Randleman's health probs recently are from heavy steroid use.
I'm suprised that there wasn't a link somewhere about this by the Master of Scoops! I really thought there would be at least 3 threads by now.![]()
Whoops...UFC / WEC fighter Kit Cope tests positive...
http://www.sherdog.com/news/news.asp?n_id=6608
He's horrible on steroids...can't imagine how bad he'd be clean...
Awesome that a real org ACTUALLY tests consistently to get rid of all the bad press that comes with dirty fighters.![]()
See what the penalties MLB had put in place?
Maybe some overseas Roid Orgs can learn from the UFC and actually TEST.
Kudos, keep testing and let's get the pride-like ones out in the open! It's been said and it's been written....When you resort to roids you're not as mentally strong as you should be. Recovering from an injury or not. Fighting an opponent that is a weight class gigher than you like in a kiddy grand prix style fight nor not.
Way to scoop Wiz, again!
News was out a couple of days ago but I don't mind reading it over.![]()
Alves still got the win...![]()
Damn those Zuffa pot-monkeys...
