GROSSman throws 3 picks and 2 lost fumbles
^ or you're a bitter Pats fan who's mouth is full of crow right now.....
thats kinda true![]()
I think the Bears will shock the world. Manning doesn't know the meaning of pressure until he plays in a Super Bowl and the Colts will be the overwhelming favorites to win so he'll have to deliver. No one thinks the Bears even deserve to be in the Super Bowl so no pressure is on them.
There are many parallels between the Dallas Mavericks and the Colts. The Mavericks finally beat their nemesis (the Spurs) and got to the Finals where they were overwhelming favorites against the Miami Heat of the weak Eastern Conference. They choked and the better team from the better conference lost. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same thing here.
It's the year of the underdogs folks. First the Miami Heat, then the Florida Gators and since things always happen in threes....now Da Bears LOL.
Anyone who thinks the #1 team in the NFC doesn't belong on the same field as the #3 team in the AFC is crazy
This ought to be a great matchup, it just sucks it's so far away. I'm glad to see two different teams (other than NE, St Louis, etc...) make it to the Super Bowl. Im going with the Colts.
The Heat won the 2006 Finals, therefore last year. Which would make a Bears win the second in your little "things happen in threes" comparison. Plus the Colts are only 7 point favorites, which is hardly overwhelming odds.
And how the can you accuse Manning of not knowing the meaning of pressure after being down 21-3 in the first half. I'll even admit, as a Colts fan I had little hope for a win after Samuel picked off Manning and ran it back for a score. The Pats were playing great football at that point and never really let up, they just weren't able to get any stops. The Colts didn't have a lead in the game until one minute left in the fourth quarter, and you're going to sit there and tell me Peyton doesn't know the meaning of pressure after that? Depending on how this Super Bowl plays out, I don't think Manning will ever play another game in his career with more pressure on him to win. Down by 18, not able to convert drives into TDs, shaking up the thumb on his throwing hand on a 3-and-out drive with the game tied in the fourth quarter, leads his team on a TD drive with a minute to go and he doesn't know pressure? Bull .
Bears are the underdogs and thats why I say BEARS all the way !!!! The Colts D will get back to normal and choke with the Bears running game. Manning will have a good go at it but it wont be enough. Just like what happened last year with them and the Steelers.
kinda like last year when the #1 seed from the NFC didn't belong on the same field as the #6 seed from the AFC.
The #1 NFC team won the game save the zebras who called one of the most lopsided games in NFL history. You know that's the truth, and everyone knows it as well.
Is there a chance that Manning won't get MVP when the Colts win?
It's also a SEC rematch for the QB's (Tenn + Fl.) SEC rocks!!
Ill take the Colts. they are playing with much more hunger and desire than the Bears. and the Bears have far bigger weaknesses that the Colts can easily attack, such as their secondary, which is absolute . Manning should be able to hook up with Harrison and Wayne quite easily and often. As much of a poor history that Manning has with pressure, im not expecting any more from Grossman. the guy is godawful when under pressure, and has minimal playoff experience, as does the rest of the Bears.
