More stores for white people
What's going in at phase II of La Cantera?
More stores for white people

bump
Actually, La Cantera is full of people who travel in from Mexico and spends lots of money there. They save a lot of money shopping at La Cantera believe it or not. I was unaware there was going to be a phase II.
I have a question for Buddy Holly too. What is going on in the 1604 and Potranco area? I think there is a Wal-Mart going up on the corner of that intersection. However, I see more clearing behind the Valero and I think another Santikos. Please inform.
An AMC 12 Theater is only thing I've seen mentioned so far along with several unnamed restaurants, a furniture and bookstore (Barnes & Noble probably).

Or selling Raspa's
Just now noticed this thread.
To answer S y's question first, phase II will be 300,000 sq. ft. of retail, office, restaurants and housing.
There will be a AMC theater as well.
As for the 1604/Potranco question, well, what isn't going up there? Yes, a 18 screen Santikos is going up as well as shopping centers at all four corners of the intersection. There is also a large shopping center going up at 1604 and Military that will be anchored by a Kohl's. There's also the 1 million sq. ft. Alamo Ranch Marketplace going up at 1604 and Culebra which will have a Costco, Super Target, JC Penny as well as many other stores.
Wow. Thanks Buddy. I noticed three of the four corners off of 1604 & Potranco just about cleared. I haven't noticed anything on 1604 and Military except some clearing by the S there.
So it's not gonna be like a mall? No department stores? Have you heard what restaurants will be going in?
I like window shopping.
They just are finishing up leveling the area on the north side of 1604 at Lookout Rd (across 35 from the Forum). How can you tell what they are going to build there? The sales guy at our subdivision said it was going to be The Fountains or something shopping center ...
How can I lobby for a damn gas station? There isn't one even remotely close to my house, and that totally sucks....![]()
If you're by Lookout Road, what's wrong with the Exxon by Rolling Oaks Mall?
The subdivision is right past Lookout ... so I have to go allllllll the way down the access road to the turnaround (right at 35), then alllllllll the way back down to Nacogdoches ... then allllll the way back down through the stop sign at Lookout. It's a pain in the ass just to get a gallon of milk.
Of course, a back road out of the sub. that goes back to Lookout would be good, too. But they'd have to build a bridge over the man-made lake they are building there.
And the traffic is always bad right there at the 1604/35 interchange, so it's a crap shoot if someone will let you over enough to get to Pat Booker. Bas s.![]()
Stone Oak is the same way. Very few gas stations and they know it so they jack up the price of gas. I think this area sits above the recharge zone so they will not allow anymore gas stations to be put up. It really blows!
Can't wait for our new property to be for sale so we can get outta the dreaded 78258 area!
Aw c'mon 01, we've got the TETCO and the Valero and
nevermind
Im gonna go ahead and ask Buddy Holly a question too...what is going in at 281/stone oak parkway??? I know there will be a Hobby Lobby and Target...but not sure about anything else. Know anything??
The Tetco is a friggin' rip for gas ALWAYS! The Valero at 1604/SO Pkwy is okay. As of now, the Valero at Timberwood is the cheapest suprisingly.
They really need a station at Blanco and 1604 dont they?
A better question is can they really put anything else at that intersection??

It's a zoo over there!
construction is already underway...its north of the pulte subdivision toward Marshall Road
You're talking about Village at Stone Oak.
Super Target, Borders, Pei Wie, Coldwater Creek, Chipotle, etc.
Also, you may or may not know that there's a shopping center going up almost directly across from Village at Stone Oak, to be called Encino Commons it will be at Encino Commons Rd. and 281.
