Crybaby
Josh Howard doesn't think there's anything accidental about the fact that he turned his right ankle for the second time in the past three games on Monday.
"Hopefully, they'll send the tapes in and have a talk with those people, because that ain't right," said a livid Howard who believes that landing on the foot of Jason Kapono last week and Joe Johnson last night may have been more than bad luck.
"I'm the only one it's been happening to and I know it's not fate. Somebody's telling somebody to do something."
Well, we're not here to stoke any conspiracy theories that opposing teams are out to undercut Howard on his jump shots, but he says it's happened to him five times this season, so perhaps he has a right to moan, especially considering the fact that undercutting jump shooters was supposedly addressed in the pre-season officials' meetings.
Fortunately for Howard owners, this injury doesn't appear nearly as serious as the ankle sprain he suffered earlier this year that knocked him out for eight games. X-rays were negative and Howard, although he had a limp, was at least able to walk on his own power. The team lists him as day-to-day, so he's questionable at best for tonight's game.

I don't think it is a conspiracy but how would Spur's fans feel if this happened to Ginobli or Parker twice in three games? I am sure there would be some pissed of Spurs fans. It is just bad luck.
The Spurs and their fans have never been crybabies about anything. They've got those 2.5 championships that prove it.
uhh it's happened to duncan before, it happened to sheed a couple games ago. it happens all the damn time in the NBA. maybe not twice in three games, but people land on feet all the time.
Mind you, we have a different topic in this thread.
This crap about Spurs' 2.5 championships? Did you not discuss this from another thread?
It is bad luck. Josh just can't go out and call out a conspiracy against him. Suck it up, dude.
He did...17 / 7 last night...![]()
Someone else said that if this happened to a Spur that people would complain. I kindly informed them that no, it wouldn't be the case, because the Spurs have never been crybabies about anything ever. And do they not own 2.5 championships? I'm staying perfectly on topic.
Yes, Josh needs to suck it up. I thought what Kapono did was dirty, but definitely not Joe Johnson.
It's a medical fact that ankles weakened by sprains have a tendency to roll and get sprained again. It's a vicious cycle, and one that is only stopped by the player/person completely recovering....
So, basically the conspiracy theory is e. Howard's ankles are weak and whereas he would typically shrug off an ankle roll, he can't because of his pre-existing condition...

Is this similar in meaning as Hee-Haw being named an all-star?
Alright, Spurs would indeed complain but not call out conspiracy theories.
And regarding your argument for this 2.5 championship, this has been argued well on the other thread from which you had this previously posted. It is obviously off-topic.
Keep it cool and watch the better games come playoff time.
If you wanna asterisk that, go right ahead. I could care less.
I don't understand. Don't the Spurs own 2.5 championships? I apologize for being off-topic.
You might want to check on how many times Duncan had his ankle sprained landing on someones foot in the 2005 season. Difference is he didn't whine about it and and come out with some lameass conspiracy theory.
No wonder.![]()
A fan of a team who has yet to win jack pulling Phil Jackson's asterik card.

Is that all you have? Ask your coach if he thinks it's half a championship.
No, the difference is that Duncan is a post player. Lots more feet to land on in the paint. I don't agree with the conspiracy thing but the guy is frustrated and I would be too. It happens everytime on JUMPSHOTS. Not when he is driving the lane, jumpshots. Players don't need to put their feet where he just took off from to have a successful boxout. He doesn't kick his legs out so its obvious that their feet have to be right where he would land. JJ wouldn't do it on purpose, no way. However, Pietrus (the guilty party when Josh rolled it and was out 8 games), was not even facing the basket. Players just need to be aware thats all. Josh is just frustrated. 2 times in 3 games. And you can't make it up, the video shows it. It sucks but no conspiracy theory. The poor guy just has bad luck. I cringe when he goes up for a jumpshot these days. Afraid he will do it again.
I don't have his number.
Well an asterisk is better than none at all, right? You should be proud of that one.
Good lord is Josh Howard mad at this also? He was mad because he wasn't an all-start and now he's mad at everyone? Sheesh.. Let's evelaute this... let's recognize what the constant is involved with this continuing problem.. It's Josh Howard
JHo Got Crazy Game.........
I don't care if he is a problem for you or the rest of the league. If he annoys you, I couldn't care less. He is a great locker room guy in one of the best locker rooms in the NBA (per Stack) and a great team guy. He sucked it up all right....to the tune of 17 and 7 last night. He can get mad all he wants. The guy is a player.
yep, Josh is his own worst enemy.
A big head, totally empty.
Players on different teams are conspiring to roll his ankles? GMAFB
It's the kind of psychological weakness, the moral weakness the keeps the Mavs from being Champions, no matter how well they do in the season.
The Mavs, their bandwagonning troll fans, all piles of stinking .
JHo Got Crazy Game.....sorry leonard, liked that response
