Obviously. Averaging 4 points on 5-for-12 shooting over the last three games really underscores his greatness.
Do you all think Barry should have been traded? Will he contribute to the playoff success of the Spurs this year? Based on his recent play, the Rifle Man (he needs a nickname, I know that was Chuck Person's) is back.
Obviously. Averaging 4 points on 5-for-12 shooting over the last three games really underscores his greatness.
Barry sucks more than Beno.
Barry's a great match-up guy should we wind up playing Phoenix. Outside of that, he really doesn't give us much.
Whenever Barry has a good game Finley stinks and vice versa, sometimes they both have good games. Basically, Barry and Finley count as one player.
exactly. it's like they take turns on who's gonna have the good shooting night. i'd be worried if the spurs had to rely on only barry or only finley as the backup 3.
No. We need both Finley and Barry, as others have stated, because one of them is going to be shooting well on a given night. If one of them can conjure up a hot night from the 3 point line, the Spurs are tough as nails to beat.
Plus he's a great chemistry guy, a potential backup PG, great ball handler/passer/dunker/3 point shooter. Just needs to shoot more when he's open
What is everyone complaining about? He's been the most consistent 3 point shooter on the team this year. I never cringe when he puts it up from downtown and we'll need that in the P.O's.
Barry is back to playing scurred and timid.
Don't forget they're very similar players. Older outside shooters, who no longer attack the rim and are marginal defenders.
Yet more reasons these two should have NEVER been featured into the primary rotation at SG/SF for this team.
Last two games, it doesn't look like he's been open much. Maybe teams are starting to figure out that Brent Barry can shoot it a little.
Both of their failures to attack the rim is condoned 100% by Lord Poppy .
Barrys 64% fga = Finleys 45% is a stat only the FNR Club recognizes.
Well, hard to attack the rim with the handles they've got, especially Finley. I'd rather see Matt Bonner bring the ball up than BB/Fin try to break a guy down.
You don't think Bones can dribble?
Can dribble fine and has hops to get rim attempts up.
The few times he's done it he's done well.
Finley less of a dribbler but could still take it to the rack about 98% more of the time then he does now.
Both shoot FTs 85%.
we need more black guys.
I think barry would be great if he was getting payed the 2-3 million that finley is getting. But do I think he is worth the 5 mil., no!! Not sure how much Kerr got when he was with the spurs, but the 2 players are similar in their roles on offense.
YOU SUCK
Remember, Barry used to be a PG with the Clippers and Sonics
Yup
generally a lot more good things have been happening for us with barry on the floor than fin.
