The Lakers have been sucking lately. I'm not convinced they'll win against the red hot Mavs. It would be nice but far from a lock.
The Mavs 16-game streak comes to an end tomorrow night. Spurs will have the top winning streak in the league.
Brent Barry > Dirk

Hahaha Mavs might lose....but honestly it DOESN'T MATTER. The Spurs are not catching the Mavs. The Mavs are not afraid of the Spurs. In fact I bet come playoff time Avery would rather face the Spurs than the Suns or even the Jazz. Calm down Spurs homers lol.
and Shawn Bradley > Brent Barry.
so does that mean Shawn Bradley > Dirk? wow, i guess we never realized that Shawn Bradley actually was our secret weapon all these years...
The Lakers are NOT going to beat the Mavs tomorrow, where's the vBookie on this?![]()
I'm with you on this. I'm about 99% sure there's no chance Mavs get beat both times this year against the Lakers at the Staples Center, especially with the only threat on the team currently being Kobe.
The ramblings of someone who sounds insecure!!!
I think it is a riot the way Spurs fans have diminished the Mavs three 10 game+ winning streaks this season by saying that they don't really mean anything because the only thing that matters is the playoffs. I agree- nothing really matters until the playoffs.
But, upon the Spurs developing a little winning streak of their own, suddenly it is a big deal to have a regular season winning streak.
All that these streaks really mean is that Dallas is freakin' good this year and that the Spurs have finally started to get their act together.
Oh yeah, don't forget "three rings", blah, blah blah....just thought I'd save you guys some time typing that.
Well, not to diminish the Mavericks streak, but really it doesn't matter anymore because they've been playing good all season and are already a lock for the #1 seed. For the Spurs, however, they've been playing sub-par this season and it's wonderful to see them playing like champions these last 12 games. The defense if the most impressive thing, and it's what we've been missing all season.
The Spurs are not afraid of the Mavs either. I'd say they're one of the, if not the only NBA team not intimidated by them. The rest of the league doesn't even show up in a game vs the Mavs. Utah and SA = real compe ion for Dallas.
I myself have never made a big deal of the win streak by the Spurs, and I haven't seen any Spurs fan on this forum make it a big deal either. Here's how we all see it: Taking care of business, beating who they're supposed to beat, finish with 58-60 wins as usual.
Which is exactly what Dallas and Phoenix 10+ game streaks have been this year: easy games, beatable teams, no big deal.
3 RINGS!![]()
Walton is out and he is a Mavs killer, so mavs should be alright. just watch out for Sasha he hit some huge shots last time mavs rolled into Staples
including a 2 that they counted as a 3, which would have made a BIG difference.
