The Vegas heat will be ten kinds of fun in late August. The tournament is also 10 days long. If I did go, I'd only be able to make half of that.

    Roadtrip?

(I'm actually thinking of roadtripping to the NAHJ convention in San Jose, CA in June.)

I've driven to L.A. and back, so Vegas wouldn't be so bad. We'd have to rent a car with a rockin' A/C.

Doesn't cost that much to fly to Vegas. Can usually get a roundtrip flight for around $200-230. I'd think that gasoline would cost at least half that much on a roundtrip drive. I know I'm planning on going out to see a few of those games (in between playing some blackjack).

Good deal. Vegas is a cheap place to get to and lodging & food can be really cheap. It's the gambling part that can get expensive
